i heard el is the man about paintball
I've had a spyder amg w/ 14 aa barrel and 3 inch drop for sometime now
I've had enough electro, i dont really like it, and i dont like the feel of it as much
I'm either going to get a (nice) cocker or automag...any ideas on why one or the other
Btw i play every weekend (i can afford it), I'm not on a team but i play with the teams on the field (sypyder against boblong and angels blows for me)

i actully work at a paintball shop. I'm the head tech there :D. i started out with a cocker well about 2 weeks after my first marker. its a 2k2 STO cocker. heres a link to my paintball site: http://www.freewebs.com./paintbug i have some pics and links there. cockers are great for rec players but they are a dieing breed in tourny play. everybody wants high rates of fire which is why i now have a 2k3 Smart Parts Shocker. i do have a 2k1 Right Feed cocker I'm selling for $200 if you are interested.

Hey i happen to have a 03' vert feed cocker with 15 degree asa and drop and nirto tank and the works, i love my cocker more than any gun i have had, they are the cream of the crop man. I would highly suggest the cocker, but now the diesicion is up to you.

ps the cocker has the most upgrades and mods in my view to upgrade and change.

I've been out of the sport for a year or so but cockers still rock. Their sun has not set yet not will it soon. I do agree with the massive rates of fire created by an electro. You need to ask yourself how much you really want to spend on your marker. I mean you can get a great marker for under $1000. Right out of the box for an inexpensive marker I'd suggest an Impulse. If you want a really ritzy e-cocker then you could possibly think about a Free Flow with a race grip. That's the last marker I bought and it was really intense. The price of entry was very high for that marker, $1500 but it was one of the finest markers I have ever used.

i dotn want an electro, the people at my field have them but when my revy broke i shot with a regualr hopper and had no problems shooting at that speed with the angels, i didnt get owned or anything so i dont need to go super fast
i've heard mags are trouble and lots of people at my field that have them have had problems, mainly because they run co2 though

The mag used to be a nightmare running on CO2 however since the markers have been running off compressed air they are not that bad. They are nearly indestructable and exceptionally simple to work on. I bought one a few years ago and didn't have too many complaints. The onyl real complaint I have on a mag is the trigger, there's literally nothing to do to soften on the trigger in and way.

Also, as long as you're correctly using an anti-siphon tube a mag can run well off CO2.
