I'm new to this nitro rc game. I bought an FTX Frenzy its brand new I've only had it a few days. I was running it in when two of the engine screws come out causing the engine to move and the clucth to wear down needing to be replaced. I took it to a local model shop he done a great job but this morning i noticed a slight leak between the heatsink and engine, its like a slight bubbling but it does go away after a while.

Is it because the engine is still new and needs breaking in or is it a sign or something else.

Thanks :)

If I were SURE it is leaking from the head, I'd pull the bolts, take the head and button off, flip the shim over and rotate it some and reassemble. Tighten the bolts evenly.

Maybe it's your exhaust gasket.

That has happened to me on one run a twig must have upset the retaining spring and seat where header seals to the exhaust port i refitted but the silicone seal must have gotten kinked or melted and it lost its seal. replaced with a new one and "wala!" no more probs. :third_place:

This happend to me with an F4.6. I neglected to get all the old Loctite off of one of the screws for the heat sink and it wouldn't screw down past it but it felt tight. It was after a complete tear down and it was to late by the time figured out what it was.

Thanks for all your help! i took it back to the shop and he had a look at it just a case of tightening the screws down and no more leaking. Because I'm new to the hobby i didnt want to over tighten them. I'm getting though put a new front suspension mount on my nb16 earlier so thats working again :)
