Hi,
I have recently bought a new Himoto nitro car. After reading through the manuals I charged the glow starter for over a night than did the setup for the high-speed needle for 2.5 turns as the manual said for the break in. Of course I filled with fuel than tried the starting procedure. As it did not work I took out glow plug and tried the starter and it did light up, so it should not be the problem. Than I tried that maybe flooded the engine so I took the glow plug off turned the car upside and pull the pull-starter but fuel didn't seem coming out. I tried heating up the engine with hair-dryer but still no luck. As I made a closer the throttle servo does not look right for me, could be just me since I am completely new for this. Anyone suggestions ?
Thanks

Take the air filter off and see if you have about a 0.75-1mm of an opening in the carb, otherwise try priming the engine for a couple seconds by holding a rag on the exhaust pipe and pulling couple times, just my .02

Also check the igniter by removing the glow plug and plugging it into the igniter.

Try blowing into the exhaust until you see fuel reach the carb and then try

Yup. Trying to prime a completely empty line by covering the exhaust on a pull start engine is going to take quite some time.

You can also remove the line from the pipe and blow into that, likely what you'll want to do if you ever run it dry, rather than putting your mouth on a dirty pipe dripping with nitro goo.

Thanks for the add on sixty!

Also don't be afraid to give it a little throttle trim on your transmitter, I've found that these engines can be a pain to start at idle but they'll fire right up with a tiny bit of trim

I adjusted the trim that was also a problem, now if I put fuel into the engine through the glow hole that fuel burns, but it does not seem that fuel gets into the engine from the fuel tank. Should I take the engine apart ?
Edit: Even tho it is not working yet, thanks for the help I really appreciate it !

Sounds like it still isn't primed. Watch for fuel in the line while you blow into the exhaust. Once you see it get to the carb, stop blowing and try to start it. Once running, the backpressure in the exhaust will pressurize the tank and "pump" the fuel.

Sixty do you think his gas and back pressure lines are a little long?
That could be a part of the problem, he can't get enough pressure trying to start it with a pull start to push through those long lines? Just a guess..
Also I wouldn't recommend you taking a motor apart, as your new to all this and its very easy to damage the internals!

One more thing, try pouring a little bit of fuel into the carb, and then try starting it.

And one more thing, turn the car and transmitter on. Zero the trim for throttle, and see if you can close the carb any more, if you can then you need to adjust your linkage or check your trim.

Thank you the problem was that I let the fuel reach the carb but did not let into it. Now it only need few adjustments since it starts with half throttle and once it runs in "zero position" it is moving slowly and with full break it stalls. I guess it is only the throttle trim right ?

No, you need to adjust your idle screw, you should be able to apply full brake and it will not stall,
You want a 1mm gap when you take your air filter off. (Size of credit card)
And if your trim is at zero (middle) back it off a little till it stops moving and idle goes down.
Its good to hear she is running now!! Its a start!

Works fine now ! Thank you :)

One more thing the wheel on the transmitter works the other way around, so if I turn left the car turns right, what setting do I need to change ?
Edit: Never mind fount it.

Very welcome! Make sure to get an it temp gun as well to watch temps! And I always preheat my motor before starting it to start easier.
And ALWAYS put the piston at BDC(BOTTOM DEAD CENTER) so when your motor is cooling it doesn't damage at all
It helps prolong the life of your motor!
And glad to help! Happy holidays
