Finally got the MERV in the mail today. Came with tan and black springs as well as (2) 2S lipos. Got a new charger on the way also.

Already did the velcro body mod and added the new springs.

it was dark out but i ran it in the house a little on the stock battery and all I can say is WOW. Never had anything with that kind if acceleration. can't wait to get it on 2S.

Should i run the 23 tooth pinion when running 2S? I dont need crazy top speed, just want to make sure to keep everything running cool. Never had a brushless RC before.

Fresh from the package.

Traxxas recommends using the "speed" pinion to keep from overheating the ESC/engine. If you can't imagine 2s, 3s will blow your mind. Enjoy your new little beast.

Havent even run the 2S yet. I only ran the stock battery for about 3 minutes. Hoping my lipo charger shows up tomorrow.

I dont think I even tried mine on 2s. 3s is the way to go, it will make you giggle for a long time :hehe:

Congrats on the new rig, thats a good pic of them together.

I got the 2S batteries as a part of a great deal. Might have to order a couple 3S also. What capacity 3S do i need?

I run a pair of 1600 mAH 3s in parallel. 20 minutes or so on a charge with the throttle pegged.

Great. I assume you guys are switching your batteries over to traxxas plugs and not using an adapter??

I use Deans only on everything.

i should be getting one for christmas too, or ill end up buying myself one
I'm so pumped
the 3.3 revo is gettin annoying with the nitro fuel and tuning the motor to different weather conditions.. i wanna switch it on and hit the throttle (:
no tuning
just tinkering

The only reason I didnt really like mine, was because of the size. It was hella fast and pretty easy to dial in (suspension wise) but just too small for my liking.

i sold the micro, it was too small but mini t and mini revo/slash is just perfect

My batteries came with the Traxxas connectors already installed. I use Dean's connectors on everything else.

This weekend i finally got a chance to run the MERV through a full lipo pack. I had the ESC in Lipo Mode, green light on, and all of a sudden it stopped and was flashing red. I though it was suppose to slow to 50% power first as a warring? Unless i did not notice and it will still wheelie at 50% power that never happened. The pack was at 3.48 and 3.45 volts when i hooked it up to the charger.

Also when truing to the left the steering servo buzzes or clicks. Its only when turning to the left. And sometimes when i let go of the wheel they stay turned until i turn right. Steering is free and the servo i centered as close as possible.

Got my 3S pack and ran the MERV last night.....HOLY CRAP...its insanely fast. I can't believe the difference. Right before it went into Lipo cut off mode i clocked it at 45 MPH with the 23T pinion. I do need to get a heat sink for the motor as it got fairly warm....around 120-130 ish while running.
