You can't do that.
I got burned by Pay pal for $3800.00 bucks. Someone hacked my account.
I will not deal with them again.
I still paid by credit card to the lotto, but will not be a member of pay pal again.

you didnt recover any of the money? they are insured no one can send anything to a non confrimed address.i've been using it since 99 and have had no problems,also i opened a sperate account with a few hundred in there just for ebaying and misc crap just in case something happens

This lottery went really fast!!! Woodie opened it up on the 26th and as of the 30th it was sold out!!! Now if only the checks/Mo's would arrive I could be driving my new RC by the weeks end!

No I wasn't buying anything, and It wasn't stored in there.
This was like 4 or 5 years ago. So not too keen on the details. It was my wife that had the problem, but you know that she gets her money from me, so I was sort of involved.
I believe it was a bank statement, or credit card statement.
I'll have to get the details from her, and I'll post.
Your probably saying that it was a lot of money, and he would remember.
The truth is, I don't remember the exact details.

I have a family member that was burned twice on Ebay, and even though he paid through PayPal, they said they couldn't do anything for him... Such BS...
I guess that's why they recently introduced the PP buyer protection plan...
I myself, have been using PP for the last 3 years with no issues. I also change my password on a monthly basis...

I spoke to my wife and I stand corrected.
We got burned for $2400, and they couldn't find any proof of activity, so we got burned.
Even though my statement showed it. (credit card)
They told my wife, that she must have given someone her access code.
WTF????
Maybe they've come a long way in 5 years, but I wont make the same mistake twice.
