Well went back to the track today to try out the new tires. The track was moist so traction was definitely not an issue. The new aka enduro 3 tires just hooked and were very very consistent. They straight up put the power down.
There was 2 1/10th scale losi scte 2.0 out there. I looked at one. He was running a 4700kv motor on 2s. He was a bit faster then me in the straights but I had much more grunt out of the turns. The other truck was slower than us both. Again I'm on 3s running a 13 tooth pinion. There was also some losi 8te 3.0s out there(one was my old one that I sold a few month back) . The 1/8s have raw power that the 1/10s just don't have but it didn't help them today. Their weight though would help push us smaller scale trucks out of the way if we met up in the corners. Bullies....?

So how did the db pro handle out there with new shoes? Well they couldn't keep up with it. The db pro just hauled butt today. Can't wait to see how it does when the track is dry and a bit more slippery out there.
The tires made the truck much more consistent and more controlled through the turns. I am very satisfied with this truck. It's absolutely awesome for a rtr truck

As soon as i can find one at an LHS or online I want to grab a Losi Tenacity DB Pro. Scanned this thread and didn't see anything that stood out as a major issue. All the YT reviews and bashing I've seen are all positive. One thing i noticed that i thought might be an issue is the location of the ESC power button. Looks like it mike get rock sprayed to hell right behind the front tire. Those that have one what are your thoughts on the overall performance of this rig?

Also, I have several Arrma 1/8 scales and a few extra BLX motors unused ?. So i was thinking after i get a Tenacity DB and drive it around a bit on 3S maybe I'd put the BLX in and run it on 4S! Good idea or bad idea??

I'd recommend giving it a look. I'm in the same situation. Wishing there was a LHS that carried it. Always good to get an in person visual before buying.

I may have found an LHS that might carry it in SA. Wanna go check it out??

The db does really well out at the track. Though running with the 1/8th scales took its toll. Ripped off the wing (well it actually tore the cage where it holds the wing) I also bent a front shock shaft. Plus I need new tires, wore out the enduro 3s already.

Well I ordered the 3.0 front arms and the 15° spindle carriers for my second db. I also ordered a set of tenacity skid plates for it and rear aluminum diff bearing holders along with the new cage I needed and shock shaft. Oh I almost forgot I ordered the tenacity lightened/heatsink motor mount for it too.

Now my original db pro I went ahead and ordered the carbon fiber shock towers front and rear from the 3.0. I also ordered a complete set of 3.0 shocks. It will be pretty much a 3.0 without being able to move the center diff☹ Though I my have a fix for that.?

My second db I noticed the front drive shafts were wearing a bit. So I replaced them with the stock ones I pulled from my db pro(i installed the 3.0 ones on the db pro) I also noticed the front wheel bearing were just about shot(so I stole the ones off my db pro) and ordered a full set of ceramic bearings for my db pro. Can't wait for it all to come in.

The only thing I dont like about the truck is the driveshaft and diff cup wear. I'm started noticing wear on the lightning/hardened outdrives. Again no where near as bad as the stock outdrives but damn my losi 8 and 8t were solid and lasted seasons....... the stock driveshafts wear at the CV joint. It wallows out where the pin rides. The 3.0 driveshafts i got look identical. I hope the are made of a harder metal and will last a little longer.

With this rant I have not had a drivetrain failure I noticed wear and replaced parts so I dont.

Just saw this looks interesting.
Stupid question couldnt find any info so i signed up here 2 ask when looking online for rc car a sight shows up called areseas and selling a dhk for 89 dollars is that legit

i would not trust it.

Got the red db back together as a few of the parts I ordered showed up today. Only thing missing for this buggy is the rear diff bearing holders. They should be here tomorrow.

The carbon fiber shock towers for the db pro will be here tomorrow also but the ceramic bearings and 3.0 shocks wont be here until around Friday.

Guess I'm going to try the box stock scte 3.0 setup and see how it feels.

Oh and the rpm skid plates for the tenacity are really nice.

Ok the shock towers showed up today. Well the rear tower is 1mm thinner and slightly shorter where the body mount goes. So I came up with a plan to get it to work. I think it came out well. This is starting to really deserve the title "PRO" (looking back it would had been cheaper for me to buy a scte 3.0 and retrofit the db pro body and cage to it but this was much more fun and it has all metric hardware)

The shocks will be here Thursday and the bearings Friday according to USPS tracking. That gives me Thursday night to build the shocks and Friday and Saturday night to install all the bearings.
Can't wait to drive it and see how it compares to the stock db pro

Can someone post a pic of how the stock light bar wire was ran at the back shock tower? Thank you

All finished up. The db pro 3.0 is finally done. Well may need some longer springs. These are struggling

Well. I ordered some hot racing spring sets front and rear. I didn't go with the losi sets as I have read to many people complain about inconsistencies with them. So I figured I would try hot racing for 1/2 the cost. I ordered some shock oils too(35, 37.5, 40, and 42.5)
I am converting my 3.0 shocks to take 2.0 springs. So both my db will be able to use the spring sets

I did order some 3.5x48 MM shock shafts for the front of my red db. The stock front shock has a 3.5x42mm. The 3.0 shocks are 3.5x52mm with the same size shock body. The 52mm shaft I dont think will work right in the stock db front shock as it needs room for the bladder. So I figured the 48mm would work great and still add some more movement up front.
