I dont get it. I thought the Cobra 8 was supposed to be their No Prep ESC but after looking more closely, I'm not sure I understand the difference between this ESC and the MMX. What role is this supposed to fill?

MMX8 is 8s. The other MMX is 6s, geared towards bashers or speed.
The Cobra 8 is 6s. The ESC is supposed to be more for on road or speed bashing & drifting. Different processor if I understand correctly. Different throttle curves & braking percent values.
