Airplane, I meant airplane, I swear. :D I've been eyeballing this one for a while actually. The bush plane setup should serve me well for where I intend to fly it. Hope to get it put together this weekend and get my maiden in if the weather holds. I've flown a few cubs that belonged to friends, so hopefully she flies the first time out.

How rare is it, that everything from three different vendors all shows up the same day?

Plane is a Parkzone Sport Cub

Flap servo, video TX, wiring, and FPV camera. I'm going to fly some FPV with it at some point.

Plane building has been delayed due to the hunting and slaying of (1) Dracula. Once said Dracula's corpse has been properly disposed of, plane building will resume at it's regularly scheduled time. I may or may not have licked the blood for the immortality. :D

(Or the Rabies)
Dang. What was the wing span of Dracula?
I thought the plane was just a little back yard flyer. That size must be new for the foam planes. It also looks very cool with the big Tundra tires on it.

Yes, try the rabies, it's excellent today. Dracula was slightly smaller, maybe a 5.1" span. They have some really big foam planes now, the carbon z cub is an 85" span foam powerhouse. Thanks, I dig the look also.

Any details on the Tx and FPV setup?

The radio control tx or the video tx? Radio will be my trusty Futaba TF8U with a Frsky 2.4 module linking up to a Frsky diversity RX. Video TX is an Immersion 600mw 5.8Ghz, and I run blue beam antennas. Here's the info on the camera, image quality is very good for the price.

Well, no plane for a week or so. I thought it would be a great idea to work it sleep deprived after some crazy work hours early this morning. Turns out, not a good time to work on wiring. Fried the RX and two servos, will take a week here in podunk to get the parts. Oh well, we all screw up I suppose. Parts are on the way, not gonna dwell on it. I did however order long lead servos so I can have room to see what the bleep I'm doing though. :D

That sucks man! I still have a ways to go on mine because I'm just not feeling it right now.

Parts came in today, and I took my time and got it all done. She's ready for her maiden, I've checked and double checked everything.

I heard the little wheel fairings would pop off during rough landings, here's my solution for that.

Got my flap servo mounted, and linkages hooked up and adjusted

Cut out my flaps

Tested everything a few times, and buttoned her all up. Hopefully the maiden flight is uneventful.

Good luck man, hopefully it doesn't live up to the name of the thread lol

I think of the Habu as more of a lawn dart than the reliable old Piper Cub.
