I was thinking about buying a radio out of Japan. You can find Futaba on Amazon.co.jp, ebay and there are some independents that will ship to the US. Even if it's not bound for the US you will probably be able to find someone to ship. The sticky point might be FCC certifications. Even though it's exactly like the previous model it needs its own testing and certs. That takes time and a lot of money.

Super nice radios but still not sure if Futaba is worth the extra $$ for my junk?
