New Engine Need Help

Just got a P5 and my starter box wont turn the motor over. Its not the starter box brand new ofna king big ass motor just to much compression. Is there any thing that I can do to help me turn it over I'm ready to race this saturday. Maybe heat it up with a blow dryer to lossen while trying to start just an idea I dont Know please help. Thank you

Yur on the right track. Take a heat gun (a hair dryer will work just not as well) and heat your engine block not the cooling head. And loosten your glow plug just a bit. Once you get it running tighten the glow plug back up. Once you run it a tank it should be easier to start. If its not just do these steps again.

and make sure you are on the bottokm of the stroke by turning the flywheel to bdc and then touch the flywheel to the spinning motor

i actually back my new motors up beyond BDC, to where they are just out of the pinch, this give the box about 180* of rotation to get some momentum going on it. i would also leave your glow ignitor attached for the first tank, it will help keep it running with the rich breakin settings.

I just now finished breaking in my V-Spec for my TT. Had the same issue for the first couple of tries. I long ago learned the trick of loosening the glow plug just enough to let off some compression and also to start the engine from just after the last compression cycle.

Took me three shirts soaked in nitro and two nights, but she's DONE!!!

What I have also done is taken the plug out and put a few drops of ARO in the cylinder and put it back on the starter box w/o the plug and let her spin for all she's worth to lubricate and loosen. Place the plug back in and turn her over.

Diver, I had to do that with the V-Spec and the Hyper 7 motor. Seems to help. If I want to fire it off at the same time I use WD40.
