I am think I am going to sell my old emaxx for a new one because the drivetrain is so much stronger. I think I am going to get the new mamba monster system. They are coming out with one motor for the system and They were able to go about 60mph with a 15 tooth pinion and a 6 cell a123 batteries at about 19 volts.

You could also consider the neu motor to go with the mamba monster ESC if you don't want to wait for the mamba motors to be released. I just bought the Novak HV Pro 4.5 system for my Revo and flm bought the 6.5 system for his E-Savage, so I'm anxious to see how they compare. I have two Novak brushless systems and two castle brushless systems, and I like them all. The castle stuff is really nice because of the way that you can prgram it from your computer and get the system dialed in EXACTLY how you want it.

The A123 batteries can take a quick charge and that's a plus. BUT, unless they've changed something in the last few days, the battery packs are going to be really heavy compared to LiPo, and that's going to be your enemy. Just something to keep in mind.

dang, my bad, i read A123 and my mind said 123A. I thought you were experimenting with the 3V 123A camera batteries

I have the mamba max 5700 in my xxx-t mf2 and it is so fast with 2 cells lipo. The guy I talked to at castle creations said the mamba monster At 15% braking power it was still trying to flip the e maxx over. They also said it has crazy low end. I think i am going to wait for the system because I have always had good luck with them. It should come out in about 6 weeks the guy said.

the castle setup (if it's programming is like the 18th scale mambas) should have a brake curve adjustment.....I tore a shaft out of my first motor in an RC18 because I gave it full braking right from teh git-go......throttle and brake curves are there for a reason...learn about them and you will see the handling on your rig improve.....

Sorry the 15% braking was for the mamba monster not my 5700 mamba max

What do you guys think the top speed of the stock motor on the new e maxx will be if I put two 2cell lipos 6000mah?
