I guess it's a common mistake if your rod is covered with feathers and has a beak.
They don't call it "choking the Chicken" for nothing.
I understand how that can happen. On more than one occasion I've made the same mistake my self. I finally had to get rid of the chickens later on in the day. I made it a standing rule here, No pants, No chicken.
