I would like to get another R/C the one I now have a mini-t and it is okay for bashing around outside but I want a nitro. But I can't decide between the new traxxas JATO or a 1/8 buggie. I would use it for bashing and racing sometimes.

I say buggy, hands down.. The Jato is kinda cool, but dont get mixed up in all the hype right now just because its new.. (My opinion anyway) Buggy for sure.. between them two anyway..

as far as buggies go, like the duratrax evader bx pro. It is an electric buggy and I was wondering how well it handles going in grass. Thanks

So then what buggie would be the best in my situation a would like to race and bash.
But as far as buggies on grass it should handle cut grass but not long grass.

I would say if you have some money to throw around, get the 1/8 buggy. It would go really fast...

for buggies, would I have to get a 4wd one in order for it to run through grass well? Or would a 2wd one like the duratrax evader bx pro, be a good one.

In my case, I would be driving on the road, hitting a jump, and landing in the grass. Drive out of the grass and repeat. Would a 2wd buggy be good for this or would i need a 4wd in order to keep the nose of the car up. Thanks

I would get a ST, RC10GT is what I vote for.

Cheap, reliable, simple, easy to find parts for, lots of hop ups.

I dont consider buggys to be as "bashable" as stadium trucks,

hey, I have an RC10GT car right now. I am looking for a new car because I can not afford to keep up a nitro car. I bought my car used, and had to fix a lot of broken parts.

I now have everything fixed, but I'm in debt and have no money for gas. I used to have an evader st and that was fine, but i needed to upgrade the motor and esc in order to give it some resonable speed (30 mph) Are there any other cars that start out with good motors and setups that i should consider? Thanks

redhatman, this is the worst case of a thread hijack I've seen in a while ....1. you should make your own thread for your questions 2. making posts in the thread 3 minutes apart seems a clear atempt to up your post count ...if you need to add somthing you can edit your last post

ditto

hey.. at least hes saving the trouble to make a whole other thread. He just doesn't know a lot of stuff so.. go easy. He's a newb lol jk.

Jato, what are you looking to spend? (And Redhat, it takes balls to suggest a Duratrax to someone..lol) If your new to the hobby theres more basic buggies out there to get you in the groove, but if you have some skill and want to race and bash the Mp 777 is a awesome rig, but there pretty spendy. A good starter buggy, but yet competative is probably one of the XTM buggies.

(I personally think Stadium trucks are a bore to bash with, and are only fun to race..My opinion anyway)

4u2nv I am kinda new to the hobby I have been in it for about 1 year and I think that the MP777 SP1 is out of my price range but the normal MP777 is in my price range. Because I live in Canada it is so expensive, the normal MP777 is 500$ on sale and I am wondering if the normal MP777 is worth it. And is the GS Avenger kit a good choice.

The Gs is a good buggy but can be a pain to find parts for. The only place I was able to find parts for them was at Horizon hobby. I just had to replace a one way bearing for a friends Gs Storm (Which wasn't even thought the 3rd tank of break in) and almost gave up, until I found Horizon Hobby for some parts. I'm with AC on taking a look at the XTM buggys. I've heard ALOT of good things about them, and they seem to be reasonable in the pocket book.

I think I can go with a basic MP777 and I was wondering if it was a good choice and if so then would a 3PM be a good radio and I don't know what a good motor would be.

Good motors are Novarossi P5 or O.S. V-Spec VZB, those are the higher end ones. I still say take a look at the XTM X-T Deluxe, great buggy RTR at $380, but if you are racing go for the 777 w/one of those .21s.
