Nice pics, it's looking good man, and yeah you could mount it there, but I think with the battery being so big you might try the rear axle to get it down a little lower.

I think the rear might be the better option too, might try to put my reciever up front with the servo. I'm leaving the chassis empty so I'll have a place for the mamba max and dig setup. My local hobby shop has the bug bodies in stock now so after i get all the stuff crammed in place i'll pick up the body last. id hate to get it and paint it all up and then mess it up before I even get to mess it up with the crawler...lol

yeah dude just make a tray for the rear axle and slap that battery back there, looking good though.

Heres an update, been a while. I've added a layer of dust to it...lol Got laid off then started a new job working ridiculous hours. Bright side of it all is that I'm gonna be getting close to 30 hours of overtime each check so yeah, in a month or two after bills and what not is all caught up maybe we'll see this thing finished.... maybe not....

I wondered what had happened since you stopped updating. What all do you have left to do?

I still have to get the esc, dig unit, bec, finish out the steering, mount the battery, get a charger, wire it, find some type of brace for the upper part of the chassis, and put a body on it. I got laid off 2 months after buying a new house so all the cash went to the vitals, house payment and food. Now I have a lot of catching up to do on other bills, but with the 15-20 hours of overtime a week I should be getting back into it soon.

Well that sucks! Good luck.

It will work out good, The new job is very very busy and it seems like a good place to work. With all the overtime I should have some mad money soon, but I think were going to buy a Ps3 before Christmas as a "present" for me and my wife. I have the crawler and some parts but I'm wanting to get some more of the bigger stuff before I start wiring it. Got to finish out that steering sometime soon. Saw something from ckrc a while back about a ota\bta steering setup that I might try to use, just ditch my current mount.

I ran ckrc's kit! It worked great for about 2 weeks, one nice fall and the tierod bent. I wouldnt mess with it again for the price....But then again I have alotta spots where a big fall is gonna happen.

trying to sell off my tmaxx for crawler money/parts. Maybe I'll finally get this thing finished......... maybe.

I know crawlers are slow, but i dont think building them is supposed to take this long....lol just won a mamba max esc. Now I'm a punk dig, steering links, charger, wiring it up, and slapping a body on from being done..................... maybe by 2012.....

Man I had to go back through it to remember what it even was! lol. Atleast you havent given up though.

Know anywhere to get a used punk dig switch? lol

So i need a bec, dig switch, and a charger to be done with parts (minus body of course). How would $170 be best spent on this, i want the punk rc dig unit, thats $70 +\-, $25 for a cc bec, 20 in shipping on the two, $55 for a charger... what kind of options does that leave me for a decent charger, any suggestions?

www.hobbyking.com has some good deals on chargers that people on here have had good luck with, not sure of the exact model. I am guessing you are going lipo so just make sure it is a balance charger to keep them in good shape.
