g e t t i n g t h e r e . . . .

even if this thing never gets done, I can do curls with it to tone my arms...... heavy little thing....

I think the drive hexes on the berg axles are smaller than the hexes on the eight shooters, or maybe the hex on the eight shooters are bigger than the bergs hexes.... who knows.....lol

I noticed that on 2 of the 4 new Proline 8 Shooter wheels I got that they seemed a little loose also, I think I am going to contact Proline and see what they have to say about this issue, nice to know it's not just me....

yeah, 2 of mine on the front and 2 of them on the back are loose......hmm if i could only add id know how many out of 4 are loose..... oh well. Tell them however many of mine are loose too.....:D

I think I'll end up cheating, I'm going to find some plastic hexes and epoxy them to the wheels, unless proline wants them back in exchange for some new ones....lol

I don't think its actually the hexes, i think its the drive pin through the axle wiggling in the hex. Take your drive hex off and put it in the 8shooter, use some pliers to twist the hex, it doesn't spin in mine, but the hex does wiggle on the drive pin....

HIGH ROLLER......lol

So about the home made links, the rod in the picture with the "mushroomed" end is a "needle" from a pnuematic scaling gun (for removing slag from welds) this little rod and a bunch of others basically hammer against it and knock the slag off. Here is a vid of me trying to bend it without hurting my hands. Its tough stuff. Going to use a small amount of jb weld in the rod end then put the "needle" into it after cutting it to length. Going to make my upper links and steering links from this for now. can't spend much money at the moment and I really want to see this thing sitting as a roller soon.

too tall? but.... but..... lol I still don't have the front end bolted on, just "posed" it there like that, kinda reminds me of a clodbuster like that...lol

the shocks i was going to use are bent. stupid jumps and stupid tmaxx....lol

eh, a temporary setback.

I know you guys said it was too high, so i guess you'll like this

its wasn't actually lowered, there was no ride height setting at all in those other pics, the front wasn't even bolted on and no shocks. now its all bolted down and has shocks and springs too! go me!!!!

Wow it's coming along nicely, but man thats a lot of articulation, and yes some times you can have to much, not saying that it is though, you won't realy know till you get to drive it on some rocks and see how it acts with your set up...

man that looks nice
i would put some brace between the shock so the chassis doent flex

yeah rollin, I was thinking about that brace. I was going to use the ones that came in the ckrc stage 2 kit, but they are way wider than the kamikaze skid, so I'll have to come up with something else on that one.

oh damn, I've missed the updates!!! it looks nice eddie! one thing you should do is buy some fubar lockouts for the rear and then clock the rear up a bit, wich is easy, just move the upper links back a bit wich will get the motor up out of the way alittle more....

p.s. nice tires ;) lol

I like the tires, got a great deal on them...lol It is actually clocked up a bit, you can kind of see it in the middle picture. Eventually I'm going to get some of the fubar lockouts, and a high steer knuckle kit. But for now I'm going for a servo mount and steering servo. Then I believe a battery and charger. Then the esc, bec, and misc. dig stuff.
