thanks for all the advice everyone, once I order some upper links I'll actually get to really start on the build part of this thread. Going to pick up some blue loctite for the axles, I'll get the axles, motors, wheels, and tires done when all those goodies arrive. My Kamikaze stuff should be here by the middle of the week so I might have a rolling chassis by the end of the month.:D:D:D

The guy that wants to buy the t-maxx from me doesn't have any cash at the moment and my friend who owes me some money isnt really responding to my "when can you get it?", but this build will happen, hopefully sooner than later.

I'm going with the Mamba Max esc and the CC bec. I haven't decided on servo's yet (steering and dig). I've been looking at holmes hobbies "manly" dig switches I think I may use those, seem like overkill, I like overkill. There are a couple other items that I might try to get later down the road if I decide to go hardcore competition rig with it. Right now though I'm just going for a very capable rig thats fun and could be easily upgraded to a winning comp rig. Too bad there isnt much around in the way of comps here in this area.

slowngreen, I am hurrying, fast as I can crawl....

awesome, looks like you are almost there!!! wait till you get them axles, they are sure perty.

man thats a nice list u got going

get the manly switches for sure

Got my Kamikaze stuff in today, but the item wasn't listed accurately on EBAY, 2 of the links have been cut and shortened. Not so bad, but they arent cut evenly, one is just a tad longer, which would cause axle steer, and binding of the suspension. I've contacted the guy via email about it. I only paid $36 shipped, but the main reason I purchased it was for the links that already had the rod ends on them and the skid, the extra chassis is a bonus but I'm really kinda bummed by this.

Please no one take this as a bad review of any type on the Kamikaze Kustoms products, This was used merchandise that was modified by someone else.

you got mail on sunday????? how the?

I'm special.......lol Guess I should say I got it out of the mailbox today, must have been delivered yesterday.

Am I wrong to be bothered by the "modified" basically useless links? I did only pay $36.

Here is a link to the add, doesn't say anything, and the pic shows the links, but it isn't stand out obvious till you know 2 are shorter. Then you can pick out the shorter 2.

id be alittle pissed if they arent exactly what you paid for or thought you were paying for.

Its $19 shipped for 2 new links and a couple $ for rod ends since the ones on the cut ones are glued????

unless its like super duper kick ass mars grade infinity glue.....lol.

I sent the person an email through ebay and told them that the item was not like it was described. I asked them to either refund half my money and let me keep the parts or all my money plus shipping cost back to them. So far they have refunded my money and sent me some cryptic messages. In the middle of typing this I got it figured out, I got a response that was legible, I have responded and told them that they still owe me $ to ship it to them.

Am I being resonable so far?

slowngreen, does this look like that glue? LOL

I think your being more then reaonable, but if you like the chassis and a new one would cost more then the money paid so far which is now $0 plus the cost of the replacment links & rod ends I might have just kept it, but thats JMO!!!!!

Bad thoughts have crossed my mind, but I offered "sakebomb77" a deal, refund my $ plus the cost of me shipping it back and I would. So far the money for the parts and original shipping has been sent, but has a hold on it for 3-5 biz days. Once the hold is gone and the return shipping cost is in my possession I will return it to him\her.

i would say just buy the links straight from kk

i hope everything works out for you in the long run

I am going to use that money to buy the links from them. Whoever it is apparently has trouble with english so even though they are in georgia it is rather difficult to comunicate. That and I noticed that he left feedback for someone who left him bad feedback, his feedback is cursing then in indonesian, but of course ebay and the buyer apparently don't realize this.

I really don't feel like taking the time to go to the post office and ship the KK stuff back to that guy, so I got him to agree to me paying the $31 price of the auction, and since he has sent me the $31 plus the shipping, plus another $6, technically I'm only paying $20 for it. Oddly enough thats about what I offered in the first place was for him to give me half my $ back and we would call it even. I figure maybe after i get to 100 posts on here I might offer up a KK 3.5 chassis real cheap and make the rest of my money back.

does it look like glue???? NO...it looks like poop!!!!!! lol. really does suck that it turned out that way but its just the risk u take going with ebay items wich we all do but u never know how its gonna turn out....

I think poop is giving it a compliment....LOL I figure the benefits later on will outway the bit of cash I'm out and the hassle of ordering more links. I'm sure I won't have any problems selling the chassis plates off later down the road, and it keeps him from screwing someone else buy selling it to them without a good description.

my stuff from ckrc should be here mid week or so, so I might end up a roller by the weekend. I found some small diameter (4mm +/-.00000000000000009 lol) steel rod, hard as hell, very difficult to bend. Its used as the needles in a pnuematic scaling gun for cleaning flux off of welds. It feels like it weighs about the same as the KK bent links, so I think I might just make my top links with some rod ends i have laying around. At least till i get this thing running. I know I'll probably use it for the steering linkages, this stuff is really strong. I put it in a vise at work and hammered it into a 90* angle and i could bend it some by hand if i really wanted to ,but not much.
