Went to a local range to check the sight on my eotech, and blow a lil steam off and ended up walking out with this little peach. Only put 6 rds through her, but DAMN she has got some attitude!

Happy birthday to me from me!!!

Ruger .380 Tiny little gun, with a WHOLE lot of kick to her.

Congrats Alpine!! Gifts from yourself are always the best, since you know what you want better than anybody. :D I love my LCP, and was shocked at both how accurate it was, and how reliable it was. The Kel Tec P3AT pocket clip fits with a little tweaking BTW.

Looks like fun, I had a Glock G33, talk about punch with a gun just a little bigger than yours with the .357sig round

Yea, mainly got this one because all 3 of my glocks are too big to carry for jogging or biking. This thing is MUCH smaller than the smallest glock. Here it is with my 27.

I looked at the lil keltec, but was more comfortable. You can't lock your slide with the keltec and that was a big no no for me. One downside of the ruger, you can manually lock the slide back, but it will not lock back itself on an empty mag. What did you have to do to fit the keltec clip? Looks good, also which "holster" i guess would be the word is that on it?

Jogging or biking? wow, I don't take my rifle out unless I'm going camping in bear country lol. Nice gun anyways.

Yep, same here Alpine. It's much smaller than my smallish SR9c, and will work great for summer time clothing (which is when I will have time for my CCW course).

No offense to the Kel Tec crowd, but the Ruger was not only more comfortable for me, I personally think it's built better having looked at and shot both.

Not much to it, just take some pliers and bend the tabs till they line up with the baby Ruger's coutours. The holster is an IWB drop away design that was a custom made Christmas present from a buddy of mine. I have no idea if they make something of that nature on the market, but with the clip to hold the pistol in place location wise, it works fantastic.

Yea. The keltec was based off of the ruger. I was talking to a ruger rep here who said that he is very surprised that keltec didn't get sued over copyright stuff. Imma have to look into a clip for it. But first i gotta get comfortable shootin it enough to qualify with it for onduty use.

I thought it was the other way around, since the Ruger came out later, but who knows, I've been locked in an office studying for four days straight now. :kookoo:

I'll be honest, I hated mine at first due to the trigger pull. It seemed to take a mile before it broke and pinched the hell out of my index finger. It's also a real handful with hot self defense ammo. But, I got used to it, and it's shockingly accurate and dead nuts reliable. Good luck on the qualifications with it Alpine, I'm sure you'll do great.

Yea I shoot consistent 118-120 out of 120 with all my other guns. Only thing I see any problem with will be the 24 shots at the 25 yd line.

Idk but that's just what the guy told me about both guns.

I have the Ruger LCR which is the same caliber but in a revolver. Very small but plenty powerful enough.

Nice Piece Alpine! Happy Belated birthday too my friend!

Yep thats about the size of my 33. What cal is the 27?

The 27 is .40 cal. the 26 is the same weapon in 9mm. Most all of the sub compact glocks are damn near the same exact weapon. When you get into the .45, it gets just a lil bit wider to compensate for the size of the ammunition.

My rifle doesn't leave my house unless I'm going shooting, going to work, or lock it up in my vehicle when i leave town. I ALWAYS have at least one pistol on me. Yea, even jogging or running, You never know when you need a weapon, especially through neighborhoods, when people forget to lock up large aggressive dogs.

Better lat than never from you. HAHA, havent seen ya much around of the late.

I looked at the LCR, but couldnt pass up the streamlined frame of the LCP. So easy in and out of my back pocket. With the glock, i had to have my shirt untucked, or wear tennis shoes or loafers for my ankle holster, I wear my boots everywhere i go, off duty. I wore this one last night to dinner with my boots and shirt tucked in!! HAHA.

I'm still around. I just don't post as much as I used to. LOL I haven't looked at the LCR seriously only because you can't conceal carry in MD... with a few exceptions and I am not law enforcement. So all of my stuff is full sized. The LCR is right nice looking though. I think my next pistol will be the Springfield operator. Just have to convince the wife I need another pistol!

Just tell her that it's better to have a new pistol than a new mistress. It usually works..... =devil

I love the technology they have in guns these days but I'm forever hooked on all the WW2 guns, especially the m1 garand and m1a1 carbine. Nice gun though indeed
