Someone gave a neighbor one of those coaxial helis from the 'AS seen on TV' store. It's not the tiny thing, it's about a foot and a half long. It's one of the hundred dollar crappo helis. Well, it needs a new tail boom and Tx antenna and there's no info on the box or in the booklet for parts. No address, phone number or web address. Anyone know where the parts can be had?

Duh!!! You gotta go to the guy at that place, the one right outside of that town.

Do they have any kind of name on the heli?

Sorry I know nothing about hellies but can't you just use quality parts?.....I mean won't it run better?

You can most likely make the boom out of various types of tube (carbon, aluminum, etc), just depends on the budget for it. On the cheap, and old arrow shaft might work. An archery shop might have some broken, dented ones they'll give you.

What kind of antenna? Telescoping or ducky?

I always get stuck with useless crap that needs to be fixed. It's a total off the wall Chinese name, but I'll give it a look up.
I've already been told not to lay out more than $30 for parts, and I know I'll get nothing for my time.
I just wish I could find something seriously wrong with it so I can tell him to forget it.
I don't want to get a replacement antenna from Radio Shack because that means I have to use my car and gas as well as more time.
He doesn't have internet, so that's where I'll look, but no further.
I'd rather order parts and replace them in 10 minutes than try to fab something from a tube. If it was mine it would be a different story.

I'm thinking...

Put together, waxed and placed high on a shelf where no kids could harm it. :D

What is happening my friend? Hope you are well and had a wonderful holiday.

Crap like that gives the hobby a bad name. Spend 100 bucks at one of those places set up in the mall... Ya know you are gonna crash it. That place was set up for the Christmas holidays, there will be no support.
He could have spent a little more and been able to get parts and support with just a click of a mouse.

Hope you are able to help him.

Oh crap, a 'digger' got in under the fence, again. :hehe:

Good to see you. Hope you and yours all had a good Christmas.

The original buyer got it at a mall kiosk. $49.95 is on the sticker.
Brand name is FXD. FEI XIANG DA.

EDIT.......................................................................................
Okay, found a site that has the parts. They take PayPal. There's no way
I would use my card for a no name company.
$25 and change for parts and shipping. I hope he says no.
