I've been looking at new bumpers and winches for a while now. I'm thinking I like the look of the stubby bumpers and can't decide between these two:

I also can't decide on which winch to get. Trying to stay at or under $500 and it's going on my 2012 JKU sport with rubicon wheels/tires.

I need something reliable for when it will get used, which shouldn't be too often as I'm not too hardcore in offroading.

Are the warn VR series worth anything? I've heard warn is the best by many different people, but didn't know whether this is some cheap unreliable series.

I like the first. Stands out a little better and would go along with your wheels imo.

Those winches are great, any of Warns products are good.

Yea. I'm leaning towards that one but the installation is so much easier on the rugged ridge. I also need to figure out if the winches I posted would fit in these bumpers.

The heavy winch and the first bumper are my choice.

Not sure but Id guess either of them would fit those bumpers. The mounts for winches I think are usually about the same kinda universal type mount.

Maybe you should do a smittybilt winch to be sure? This would be a great winch too. The ones to stay away from are the ones that are under $100 for full size vehicles and even they do ok.

I like the look of the smittybilt, but I'm not sure how the quality of their winches are. I got their rails, and they are nice and heavy and made strong, but again, am worried about the dependability.

Been reading around and have found almost all 5 out of 5 stars for the smittybilt winches.

I like the first one, and just like anything else, I'm sure there's a forum somewhere for winches.....Or at least a wheeling forum that talks about them.
I wouldn't be afraid to use any Warn winch myself.

Yea. I'm fairly certain they will be just as reliable as their more expensive big brothers, now I'm just worried about whether it will fit. I was going to do the little chat with one of our advisors thing on the quadratec website, but kinda passed the f out when I got home.

I have the smittybuilt XRC8 and it does just fine :) I like the smittybuilt bumper also. Looks clean.
