I am taking the TACHS(Test for Admission into Catholic High School) tomorrow. I am a little nervous because this test will decide my faith for the next 4 years of my life. Actually my whole life and I am going to need the skills and of course the prayers.
Thanks!

Pardon my apparent lack of support but does anybody else see something wrong with this? Maybe I'm taking it too literally. Shouldn't your faith decide your faith?

What I am trying to say is that if I get into a good high school, I will get a good education, get a good job, and support my family.

If I get into a bad high school, I will get a bad education, become a blue collar worker, so on....

Not exactly starting off on the right foot are we?.?.

I suggest you re-read and think your last post through very very carefully. My first comment in post #2 was out of curiousity and by no means was meant to disrespect. However, I think you underestimate the impact of the words you chose to clarify your goals.

Well, I am confident I am going to do good on the test. I am just explaining how the test works. I heard the test was easy. It is just that I am a little nervous.

You will get what you put into school out of it, there are plenty of people out there that did not go to the greatest of schools and are doing just fine, going to a good school does not guarantee a good education, just do your best and you will be fine.

I think you meant to say it would decide your FATE.
Only YOU can make the decision that would affect your faith.
I wish you the best, but in the long run, you also make any decisions regarding your fate in the future.

I find it offensive that you think that blue collar people in the workforce are poorly educated. Really? I have an associates degree in welding and fabrication and I install fire sprinkler systems in commercial buildings. Those same fire protection systems save lives every day, and believe it or not, it requires one to be educated on several different levels. What is wrong with being in a trade? Not a thing. For the record to anyone who is reading this post, I'm nearly biting my tongue completely off. Maybe I'm taking this a little too personal, but when I go to work and I work as hard as I do and come home to read about blue collar people and how us folk done been underedumacated (hee haw) it makes my blood boil a little.

you hit my thoughts exactly on th head! i was kinda mad when he made the comment about blue collar workers being stew-ped. i go to a career center ( its known for drugs and all that ) you kno what? i dont do anyhting of the sort. i go to school, get me education in AUTO MECHANICS <---- blue collar job!!! and love it and guess what again?!?!?!? I'm top of my class! I'm looking at a college right now and because where i am at i will get close to a full ride. I try hard at what i do and i learn alot at a PUBLIC SCHOOL, there is nothing wrong with it.

also all my family is blue collar. sure we may not be rich but we get by and live a wonderful life or family and love, money is not something that will make you happy.

Also in my job after school, i work on an assembly line in a factory, it may not make much but its decent and i enjoy it.

plz i reccomend you take back your comment about us Blue collar people, as that mentality will open a big can of worms you dont wanna mess with

I'm a blue collar worker and lift cabinets and 800 pound granite tops all day with very little education but with time and dedication I get to do what I love and make very good money and after hard work I am a supervisor over seeing 25 crews everyday that look up to me for help and trouble shooting. Just because you go to a good school doesn't mean anything it's how much hard work and dedication you put into school will determine what you get out of it just like anything else. If I didn't work my butt off and put in stupid hours for 12 years I would still be a grunt worker making very little just like some of the guys there that have been there longer than me. Which there is nothing wrong with that but my point is just cause you have a good job or good school if you don't apply yourself and give it a 100% you will only get out of it what you put back in.

Come on guys he's just a kid. He's not even in high school yet, I'm sure he didn't mean to offend anybody.

Whoah, shocking first post, IMHO it does not matter where you go to your education but what you do what you can to exceed all expectations for YOUR future, which is your fate.

Calm down man you are going to do fine, chill and let it come to you.

when your his age its makes all the difference. he needs to kno he offended ppl!

if this is his attitude now, and no one stands up and says " hey that attitude is gonna get you no where in life " then he will keep that attitude and get himself in a world of hurt.

he needs to know it, ppl are to sheltered now a days to know anything

I am sorry If I offended anyone. I did not mean to hurt anybody's feelings. By the way thanks, I did mean fate.

Anyway, the test was good, I think I did well on it. Thanks anyways guys!
