I'm looking for some aa rechargeable batteries, I have 4 controllers and a digital Camera that eats up batteries like they are water. So to save money in the long run I want to get some good aa rechargeable batteries. Anyway I can across these on ebay but never have heard of this brand (Assia) and I was curious if anyone had ever used them and what they thought of them, and if not would you think these would work good for me. I appreciate any feedback on this thanks

Thanks. I just havent bought rechargeable batteries in yrs and defiently need them with all my toys and kids toys lol

Go Walmart and pick up Energizer 2500mah for around $10.00 for 4. No need to wait and no shipping. :D

yea, but this is $30 for 24.... do the math, and get back to us on that one.

I think you can find some of the energier 2500 mAh on e-bay I bought like 16 for around 25 bucks but they are really good, thats all I use in my digi cam and controllers

I am all in reliability. For me, it will worth the extra few bucks by buying a well-known brand. Did I mention there is a walmart around the corner? :smoke:

lol Jeep there is a Walmart about half a mile from here, the thing is I need a ton of aa batteries, I actually could use way more than 24 but thats all I can afford right now.

yea, I am more of an eBay than a walmart guy. I dont mind buying "off brand" stuff as long as it serves the same purpose... I dont have a walmart for about 15 minutes away, so we go to other stores like target.

Likely overheat it and shorten it's life. I'm in the process of figuring out a way to use my vision peak to charge all those loose AA's, it has a selectable battery type. Untill then I'm stuck with the duracel 4-cell nimH charger.

use your radio battery tray (or get one for a futaba)and make an adapter plug from the charger to the tray

What would happen if you charged a nihm battery with a nicd charger?
LOL I was coming to ask the same question I have 2 chargers but they are about 15 yrs old so they probally wont work. I found a charger and 16 batteries for a really good deal on ebay and they are 2150 mah batteries

I use my NiCad xmitter charger for my transmitter with NiMH cells in it. I've been using the same cells for 4 years. The first few times I charged them, I kept a close eye on the cell temps. When they got warm, I noted the voltage on the xmitter screen. 11.3v is warm.

If I shortened the life... I don't know by how much.

I think the main diff between NiCAD and NiMH chargers is that the NiMH charger is more sensitive to the full charge peak. When NiMH bats are charged, the drop like .1v at peak. NiCAD bats drop .5 or so. At least that's what I've read.
