Need some advice guys...again...

First off, I'd like to thank you guys for all the advice I have gotten as far as my engine/clutch/pipe and stuff.

Now, I can spend up to $400 but I would rather not...heres my situation. I have a friend who really wants to get into the hobby bad, and the only way his dad would allow him to is if he got a buggy that I know a lot about (so I can help him, a complete noob) and was used so it is cheaper. The only one we could find was....umm...mine, which is a X-Terminator Deluxe. So me being the friend I am I have 'agreed' to sell him the buggy, with plans to just spend a few bucks over what I sold it for and get the X-T pro, which is just a minor step up from what I have. He is gone now for a month so I have a month to figure out what I want to do lol.

Before you guys jump on me, I have been paying off my car...slowly...now that I am out of school for the summer and working. If I get the MP777 I would be basically back to where I was before I got my 3000GT except now I have paid off a big chunk of what I owe my parents.

You guys have seen a few threads about the X-Terminator and I really like it, but I have to admit it isn't the best handling buggy out there. I never got a chance to run the MP777 I had and I think it would be a pretty big improvement. Just one thing to keep in mind...I do not race, I have no track near by. So, I have even thrown in the thought of selling everything and getting a MT type thing, maybe a truggy, which is really more suited for my driving terrain, even though I really love buggies.

As you can see, I am lost. What should I do?

perhaps the xtm mammoth st, then upgrade a few lil things...clutch shoes, exhaust...

Personally, I've always liked the GS SUT.

But, I can't really reccomend either one to you since I don't own either or have driven either But I am pondering on the mammoth st tho... :hammer:

Well I think I really want to stay with a buggy, only becuase I have an awesome enigne for a buggy, idk how well it would do in a truggy...

These new truggies have been regeared! People are running .21s in their LSP with no problems.

Thats a good point vb, then I say drop a B3 in your LSP! Hmmm...I could get a Lightning Stadium RR and sell the radio/engine/pipe/clutch and easily stay under $400. I maybe even could get the pro and stay under...hmmm...

idk tho, I love buggies...awwww this is soo hard....what should I do!

If you love the buggy, I say you would love the truggy for many reasons!.....They are just as fast (most tracks have had 1/8 track records broken with these things) they are much more forgiving when driving, and the list goes on.

If your going to do a buggy might I suggest a mbx5 for durability. k kars from what I've read are not basher cars more racing cars. I'I'm sure that will stir up some debait, but I'm just relaying info that I've read.

I think I may go truggy. I just found a NIB Lightning Stadium Pro for $500. I bet for the engine/pipe/clutch/radio/servos I canget at least $150 wouldn't you think? That means I have a Pro truggy and I'm under my $400 limit. I bet they are better for jumping too. Hmmm may have to do that. How hard is it to put buggy whees on them? just wondering lol, cuase I could put a spoiler on it, buggy wheels and it would basically be a wideass buggy lol.

do you have radio gear already to put into the new one??? If so you can get some sick truggy set up for less than 400......maxxmasher8 has got one of the sickest truggy kits I've ever run for sale here...still needs front/rear ends but it's a good base if you have radio gear already......buggies are really meant for tracks man....try a truggy and you won't look back...until you start sanctioned racing that is....

i run a SUT pro and havent had any problems, i mostly bash it but i will be taking it to the track as soon as i get my nova m2k p\s back from getting pinched but I'm currently running a sirio .27 in it right now...

Plaidfish, I have everthing I need to complete a roller. I have a rul radio system including reciever pack, HS-5645MG and XTM X-77 servos. Both are metal gear and pretty torquey, the hitec being the best. i have a Collari B3, a Mugen clutch set up is on its way, an ofna 086 pipe...so I am all set.

I'm liking the sound of this Hot Bodies Lightning Stadium Pro. I can get one for $500 brand new and after selling all the stuff I don't need I will be way under my limit which is really where I want to be. What do you guys think of that? And will I be able to run a .21 fine in it with a 13T CB?

Not a problem with the b3 in the LSP. I was told by Stephen Bess that the B3 is a good choice for that truck!

AC48...the most important thing you gotta remember is what buggy/truggy can you get parts for the easiest. Beleve me, it sucks waiting for some stupid little peice.

but yea for a buggy...the mayhem is really though. and you can get adaptors so that you can but MT tires on it.

If that's the case you have some options of getting custom kit rollers as well....I gotta say I'd be real torn between the LSP and one of those JT racing Havoc setups for a Maxx.....I had the Havoc and it kicked ass......handled just like a buggy but just took any terain I put it on.....my friend runs the LSP (now 2 friends actually) and they just look evil....like a giant revo how they suck up all the crappy grounds...but it's longer than a JT so it doesn't quite corner as well as I like........500 will get you a killer roller though...tough desisions...good luck

Yea, right now I am leaning towards the LSP. But I am looking at the Mammoth ST because of the price. idk....

Yes thats true, but I have never broken a part on a 1/8th scale except for one savage arm. You can find lots of parts on ebay.

But it would be easier for the ST....I still don't know lol, I guess the main difference is the ST has a 2-Speed and the LSP has a center diff. I'm worried about plasitc gears in the ST...
