zcar Zmxt-8 question

Greetings masters of bashers. I'm thinking of getting a nitro buggy that I can convert to brushless. I'd like to ask for any opinions about the Zmxt-8 truggy. I found a review but that was two years ago. I tried google and eBay but not much came up in terms of parts and upgrades. I was surprised to see the price tag for it, one expensive truggy for something I'm not familiar with. The review is found here

There's a guy selling it locally for $150 brand new. I will post photos later. But the owner said it's missing a throttle servo, receiver and radio. It does have a new .28 sh engine. I was supposed to buy an Ofna lx1 from a different seller but I think the owner already sold it so I'm left with the Zmxt. Any opinions or suggestions is appreciated. Oh the budget is somewhere between $150-$200 for a used buggy. It's just for bashing, no intent to race, but I would like to convert to brushless.
Thanks all in advance. :first_place:

I guess nobody in this forum has used or seen a Zmxt-8 truggy. So I will assume that this is not a good beginners truggy.
Can I request a forum Administrator to please close this thread. Thank you.

If you're looking to convert to brushless, I would look for a more mainstream brand of buggy. There are companies that have already done the homework in designing a well made strong motor mount for brands like losi, ofna/ho bao/jammin, mugen, X-ray, thunder tiger etc. You will also need parts support, whether that is local or online.

Thank you sweetdiesel, I value your opinion. Maybe I was just hooked up with the idea that I found this nice deal for a brand new almost running truggy for just $150. But when I emailed the owner, he said that the sale is only for the truggy itself even without a throttle servo.
Now I'm back to looking at ofna.
By the way, I noticed that you are a rcnitro staff, can I request you to please close this thread? You're opinion already helped alot.
Thanks again.

Feel free to post follow up questions regarding your brushless conversions. I have done numerous conversions and a few have been documented in the project build forum.
