Looking to hear pro's/con's on the following when they are stock.
I'd like to hear from people that actually own the vehicle(s).
Nothing can compare to actually have driven/worked on a vehicle.

I's like to get the list down to 2.

Durability, reliability and upgradeability are what I would like to have in a r/c, I do realize that it isn't a perfect world lol. I won't be racing at all.
I have roughly $260 to spend.
If one to these r/c's sucks tell me why, does poop break, crappy equipment, ya know the important stuff. Because you don't like it because it's a waste of money or whatever isn't really that helpful.
Oh I should tell you that I am a complete n00b when it comes to r/c's.
Well maybe not a complete n00b give me a wiring dia. and I can wire it up, just don't ask me how to work on a motor, gears lol. Anyways I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks

Traxxas Stampede XL-5 2WD Monster Truck
Traxxas Rustler XL-5 2WD Stadium Truck
HPI E-Firestorm w/DSX-2 Truck Body
Traxxas Slash 2WD Short Course Racing Truck
Traxxas Rustler VXL Brushless Stadium Truck

I'd shoot for the slash, i've heard nothing but good things on it.

rustler vxl will bee 260 before cost of batterys/charger

slash can not be ran in longer grass.the most durable out of the bunch definately.

stampede dont really no much about it .but has the most ground clearence.

rustler xl-5 proly a good cheap starter rc same as stampede.

also all of these are waterproof except the vxl rustler and firestorm.so go and get them a lil dirty

What type of terrain will you be running in? I have the slash and the stampede. Lve them both, but the slash is my all time favorite rig. Had a rustler as well, runs well, but not as durable as the slash due to a narrow body. You will need nice batteries to get decent run times out of any of these rigs.

I've decided on the slash but I need more info on lipos any know any sites with good info?
