Ok so i got the kyosho qrc from my neighbor for helping him get his rs4 going ( big undertaking, it was setting for 5 years and had a few broke parts)

anyway, i want to clean it up and shelf it, but i want to make it look nice as well. I dont want to venture far from the stock form, but i want it to look semi scale.

here it is now

I want to change the wheels and tires to a more realistic look and use a truck body. but leave the chassis stock except for some polishing and major cleaning. I want it driveable, but i probably wont drive it much if any at all.

I test fitted the boys stampede body on it and the wheel wells lined up pretty nice, but the front covered up the bumper so i need to find a body a little shorter. proline doesn't have much 1/10th scale choices.

also I'm not sure what size wheel hexes, but i would like to get some nice looking wheels and tires.

so my questions, any ideas on a 10th scale body for it? all proline has is the old c10, k10, and 50s era bodys that look scale.

anone know what size hex is on this thing? and maybe some nice rims/wheels? i want to go with the 4x4 look, but stay close to scale looking.

What is the wheelbase and total length from bumper to bumper?
I take those measurements and then compare them to the specs towerhobbies gives you on almost all the bodies they sell. HPI makes some cool truck bodies.
Edit: That's a cool little ride, I like the bug body!

I'm gonna take a wild guess at the hex size and say it's 12mm. Kyosho used 12mm on it's cars for a long time, then later went to 14mm, then to 17mm.

I believe RPM made some rims a while back that had a universal adapter kit... That was a long time ago, though, and they may not be easy to find.

Worst case, can you remove the hexes and just drive the wheel with the pins?
