I run a Picco .28 team turbo powered Revo, Qconcepts engine mount & RRP everything in the trans including their slipper conversion.
I use Savage clutch bells (17T usually).

Problem I've got is I keep destroying the RRP spur gears, I just killed my 3rd this year.

I think it's a mesh/flex problem, the Qconcepts mount does not locate the motor as precisely as a new era or even the TRX big block mount & I suspect the mount/chassis is flexing as well.

Problem is my motor is bump start - so I can't use the new era type mount.

I either need to switch to the TRX mount or find a way of bracing the whole setup.

Any ideas?

It does sound like a chassis flex problem. I would look at trying to find a way to brace the chassis, since you need the bump-start capability.

Yup, I came to that conclusion - roll bar was bending the chassis when it landed on it's roof.

Fixed, braced the crap out of it (Tig welded bracing on & extended the rear of the engine bay area) & I'll mount the roll bar with rubber spacers.

While I had it pulled down I also drilled some extra holes to locate the trans better.
Just gotta wait for the paint to dry & it can go back together:

I replied in your other post but I would look at the m2c brace , apart from being thicker and allowing bump start it has more holes which allow you to bolt it down to the chassis good and proper
I just fitted one to my revo and I gotta say it look tough and would go with your colour scheme

Just googled that brace - similar to what I've done except it doesn't have the triangulated brace at the front of the engine bay area & I've welded my extra bits on.
I reckon my setup will be quite a lot stronger, besides which my Qconcepts mounts would not work with that brace.

Cheers anyway, but I reckon I'm sorted for now.
