Okay guys, I plan on getting a tattoo here in a couple weeks/Months but need to come up with a few idea's first on what to get. Basically I want a Cross with a ribbon going through it sayings something like "For my friends and Family."

Is there anyone that can help me draw out one? I'm not sure on the style of cross though, so a few different designs would be cool.

Thanks,
Garrett

If it was me, I would go to the guy who is gonna do it and tell him exactly what you want and then let him draw it up. He/she will beable to come up with a beautiful peice that you both can agree on I'm sure. I've been thinking about going in for a large cover up myself and I'll just have them draw it all out....price drop to $150 for 3 hours!

whats cool is that when you are 60, that cross will look like a crossbow.

first of all always let the tattoo artist decide what will look good in a tattoo sometime drawings dont exactly translate to the body and if it is a good artist then they will find a right fit. Just give the guy a rough direction have them draw it up and then your good if you like it. second of all $150 for 3 hours is more than likely an apprentice doing your tattoo, the going rate for a decent artist is about $125~$150/hour remember this is for life so dont be cheap. The only reason I know this is because I did my research before I got about 12 hrs worth of work done.....also it doesn't hurt to have friends who own tattoo shops.

actually $150 for 3 hours is just a killer deal, this guy/shop has been in business here for years and years and he says with other shops opening-his business has slowed way down so thats the reason for the huge price cut.

I guess away from a bigger city that would make sense all I am saying is be careful and look through the portfolio to look at his work because I hate hearing of people getting tattoo's they have to cover up later because they arent happy with them.

yeah thats good advice for sure, I've been around many different artist through out the last few years as well as done a few myself and its not something to rush into at all.
