Hello, everyone! Please excuse me if my issue has been addressed before, but frankly other than the symptoms I'm seeing, I don't even know what the issue is. I don't know what to search for. I'm hoping everyone's experience here can shed some light before I jump to any conclusions like returning the electronics I bought.

First things first, this is my 5th 3Racing kit, but my last foray into RCs (quads, helis, drift, SCT, touring, etc.) was almost 10 years ago. I remember everything being much simpler without radio telemetry and all that. I'm finding myself lost in the sauce at the moment. But below is my re-entry into the hobby build:
-3Racing Sakura D6GA
-Flysky FS-G11P transmitter
-Flysky FS-R11P receiver
-Hobbywing Quicrun 10BL120 G2 ESC (brushless/sensored)
-Hobbywing Quicrun 3650 G2 13.5T motor
-AGFRC A50BHL servo
-AGFRC GY01 V3 gyro
-Shorty pack from Scale Reflex (2S 3500mAh)

I successfully bound my receive to my transmitter, but beyond that, I can't get anything to work. Here are the symptoms I'm seeing:
1. The ESC constantly blinks in 'red'. I tried looking up what this means (program mode?), but I can't seem to get out of it.
2. When I try to calibrate, holding down the 'set' button and turning the ESC on and then letting it go, it just blinks red quickly and beeps which tells me it's not in 'calibration mode' and rather in 'program mode'. How do I get out of it so I can calibrate my ESC?
3. More alarming, when I power the receiver independently via CH7/BIND with a battery pack instead of via the ESC, and only the servo connected (without the gyro), I can't get the servo to turn even though my transmitter and receiver are bound successfully.

Steps I've tried so far:
-I tried programming the ESC using the Hobbywing multi-function program box by disabling the voltage cutoff in case that's the issue. I still can't calibrate the ESC.
-I tried programming the servo using the AGFRC AGF-SPV3 usb dongle.
-I've tried cutting out the gyro altogether.
-I've tried plugging in only the ESC to the receiver.
-I've tried plugging in only the servo to the receiver.

Is there anyone who knows what the issue(s) is that I'm seeing? Thank so much in advance for any help or suggestiong I can get.

I'm not fully sure about the issue with the gyro/servo and powering the Rx via external battery but I can help with esc calibration

When you press the set button and power on it should blink and beep as it is looking for an input from the user. Make sure you have your radio powered on, bound up and make sure throttle trim is set to 0/center. Press set button once for neutral. (itll beep once for next step) Go full throttle on the radio, press set button again, (itll beep once for next step) ,go reverse on radio, press set button again, and it should be calibrated.

Thank you. I've tried these steps after reading and watching videos on this ESC. The thing is that after leaving the throttle in neutral and then pressing the 'set' button, the 'red blinking' just stops. There's no beep or 'green flash'. I looked it up and couldn't find anything on it, only that if the led is blinking red and beeping that it's in program mode. After power cycling the ESC, it just goes back to normal. If I try calibrating, the same thing happens all over again.

Are you holding the set button and then turning on the ESC? Sometimes that doesn't work. Turn on the radio, then turn on the ESC, and then hold the set button until the light flashes, and then try calibrating the throttle set points. I have had a couple of those ESC's do that on me, and that's how I finally got it to work.

So, I gave this a try but as soon as I turn the ESC on, it's already flashing 'red' without the beeping.

Also, yes, how you describe I attempted calibrating was exactly how I did it. Maybe that's why it's now just blinking?
