Iam looking to get back in rc trucks.I've been looking at Tmaxx then the guy at hobby shop showed me Savage XL and yesterday he showed me a Losi 8ight Not sure wich to go with I like the Savage XL but realy undecided.I've read Alot of reviews and it goes either way they all sound good. I've had a Tmaxx 5yrs ago and it gave me nothing but problems could be cause i bought it used.Just want to see some of yall opions thanks

great welcome back to RC FUN....but what are you going to be doing more ? race? bash?

I have a tmaxx almost a year and i have broken a few things. upgraded to an OS.21 and i have not had any trouble with the motor starting or anything like the pro .15....it wouldnt run when it got hot hard to tune.

I would look at the reviews and buy the one you want, for what you want to do with it...

Well a little of both. They have a monster truck class race here at the hobby shop.I was leaning toward the savage xl but might be going toward the Tmaxx tring to get out to see what every bodys runing at the tracks

You might want to have a look at the Losi LST -2. Very durable and I think they're a bit lighter / more nimble then the XL

I definitely reccomend the Savage over the T-Maxx. I've had both, and the way that the Savage is engineered allows it to be a MUCH more durable truck and handle a lot more power. Now the brand new trucks that traxxas just released have been improved, but they're no where near as durable as the Savage simply because of the design of the chassis.
