Hey y'all. So, for a while I hadn't been able to drive my RC Sherman cuz the only battery I had for it went bad. Well, I got some replacements and it works now. But, it has somewhat low power. I'll post a video with all the details in a minute.
Note: the batteries are fully charged.
Ok, YouTube says the upload will take an hour, soooooooo, yeah...

Did you double check all the solder joints, contacts etc. Nothing got dirty or corrided while sitting? Recalibrate the radio? Double check the radio settings are correct? Trims centered?
Just some ideas to kill an hour! 👍

Tore it apart and there's no corrosion as far as I can see. Lose connections: zilch. Bushings or bearings: didn't come with any.

How old is this kit? I'm wondering if your brushes or brushed motors are dying.
A year and a half to two years. I've replaced the brushes before... Might need to replace 'em again. Hmmm...
Do you ever have to replace the entire motor? I figured you'd just need to rebuild it every once in a while.

Some motors are not rebuildable. Sometimes so cheap they aren't worth rebuilding.
The dimming of the lights has me thinking this is a battery sag issue.

Are the new and used batteries rated the same?
They're identical.

I've rebuilt these little 130s before. I might see about doing it tomorrow. The thing is that they sound fine and are running strong, but still weaker than normal.

Do you have a battery low voltage alarm? Something you can plug in an watch the voltage as you use the tank? I know its a new battery but it doesn't mean its good or working correctly.
I got two new ones. I'll try the other one and see if it's any different.
No, I don't have one of them alarms.

Sorry I haven't posted yet. Been a kinda busy day. I plugged my tank in and it was acting funky, so I'll be working the kinks out in a bit.

Ok, yay! Got it working correctly. Just needed to be taken apart and cleaned. Thanks for the help y'all, and new YouTube video soon! I've got some ideas, so it should be pretty cool.
