ON MY LOSI 8IGHT T 2.0 I KEEP GOING THROUGH SERVOS. I WENT THROUGH 4 650'S THEN I WENT WITH A 9100S IN STEERING AND A 9100T FOR THROTTLE.. I GOT 2 PRACTICE DAYS AND MADE IT TO THE MAINS SAT NIGHT AND LOST THE STEERING GOING DOWN THE BACK STRAIT.. STRIPPED THE GEARS. I HAVE ALL MY END POINTS SET CORRECT. ANYTHING YOU GUYS CAN THINK OF WHY MY SERVOS KEEP GOING OUT????? I'm LOOSING FAITH IN JR YOU WOULD THINK 139 FOR A SERVO AND IT WOULD LAST..... THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP
do u have sero saver horns? they will reduce the stress on servos and hopfully save them. i have been in the hobby for a little under 2 yrs, and the only time i needed new servos was when i drove my car through a deep puddle.
+1 on the servo saver. I can't think of what else could be happening to them other than end points, but you said those are good.. ditch JR and go to Hitec.
+1 if you're going through high torque servos like that something is loading them up at an odd angle or they are not centered ie while wheels are straight the servo is still working to get to what it thinks is center. Take the linkages apart and try them by hand as well to see if there is too much resistance
The Losi 8 and 8T are famous for this, it 's not your fault or the servos fault. The radio tray flexes killing the servos. Pick up a servo tray brace. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product...adz-Team-Losi-8ight-Rear-Radio-Tray-Stiffener
Edit; I just noticed you have the 2.0 version. They have supposedly corrected the isssue on the 2.0 version. The above link will not fit your 8, sorry.
Yeah, sounds like a servo-saver issue or something binding/not aligned right. I had the 9100's on my buggy & truggy. Great servos and only had one start jitterring on me (truggy) after a long main with a crash that bent my horn & caused misalignment.
Curious why you're running the 9100s on steering and the 9100t on throttle. It's supposed to be the other way around. s=speed, t=torque. Maybe you are like me and mistakenly thought for a time that s=steering, t=throttle... until I got straightened out by someone who knew more than me
servo saver horns??? what is that? i have checked all the linkage and everything moves freely i have no clue what is killing them.. the radio tray does flex a lil but not much i wonder if thats the problem... gonna call horrizon tomorrow and see what they are gonna do about replacment tho. it took me 4 weeks to get a 650 back from warranty repair.. so i dunno ill let you guys know... and as far as the hitec way will i have to run adapters for my rx??? which hitec would u guys reccomend???
