Yeah it'll work. The pack that you want is a NiMH and the charger is a NiMH/NiCD charger, which will work. I use a wall charger but it charges slow, so I charge overnight.

 that charger and that pack should both work as long as it fits the truck (plug wise). You may have to buy an adaptor and twist the wires together since most chargers come with tamiya male plugs.

Yeah thats why I just suggested the simple wall charger. Takes awhile but its not like your recharging the battery very often. I have the 1600 by Ofna and only have to charge it once a week. Will last a full weekend of racing.

OK I was wondering how long it would last. I picked out that wall charger first but I didn't want to get a charger that took all night if the battery pack only lasted 30 minutes. So if I get the wall charger and 2 or 3 battery packs I should be fine huh?

I have the Prophet Plus peak detection charger from Dynamite and it works great! All my batteries peak exactly on time! Highest temp I ever got on a battery was 130 and that was when I had it set on 4 amps because I didn't want to wait. It has a loud beeper to tell you when it's done and beeps every minute forever after it's done charging, with a couple longer beeps immediately after done.

Despite what the page says it will charge anywhere from 1-8 cells. My neighbor uses his on his glow ignitors.

:doh:Alright well I bought an ofna hump pack and charger together. They didn't have a 1600 that came with a charger, so I got an 1100 and I'm gonna get a couple more batteries so I always have a spare. Thanks for all the help guys!! I needed to 6 volts for my servos to work at their peak, but I only use rechargable AA's in my T-Maxx, so this was all new to me. It's hard to believe the most trouble I've had building a Savage from scratch came from choosing a battery setup

I like that dynamyte, I'm adding to my list of future purchases. I like having a peak charger with trickle functionality, but I also want to wait until I get my batteries and stuff so I can physically look at something and know I'm getting the right stuff, and the wall charger will get me by until I get the better one.

 I can personally vouch for its effectiveness and ease of use (all you do is select amp rating [1, 2, or 4 amps] and hit start). It's a good all around charger to get into the hobby with. :redbuggy:
