Not sure if this is right place to post it but Basically I came to the decision I wanted to sell my nitro car as I have no where to run it and I want something to go bashing with
I went to check it all over before the buyer comes tomorrow night and it turns out I've got no control over the servos changed batteies still no luck noticed slight nick in battery box wires so sorted that tried again nothing...
Tested for voltage found I was only getting 0.03 so grabbed another box out of the spares tested that...
6.3 something wired it all up still no luck
Tried 3 different receivers and 3 different crystals (yes I know get with the times) in each one still nothing tested switch on each rx and crystal nothing but bypass switch anyway just clutching at straws by now ... still nothing so tried another 2 servos and again... yep you guessed it still nothing
How can 3 recievers 3 different sets of crystals and 4 servos all be dead...???
Any ideas? Or am I just doomed and stuck with the 7.5mm ground clearance money pit?
The buyer is making a 362mile round trip tomorrow night !!!
Anything else you need to know just ask and il find out for you

For starters what kind of rc are we talking?
Maybe give him a heads up incase you can't fix it too
And have you tried going straight to the rx with the battery?
Do you hwve any ither rxs to check?
They should pulse once when plugged in from my experience

It sounds like you have tried almost everything except bypassing the on/off switch. Also make sure you're plugging the servos in correctly.

Forgot about that one! When I got my first one I had everything in backwards and nothing worked until I started switching things around

I had the same problem once. It turned out to be the transmitter crystal.
I tried replacing the faulty transmitter crystal with a receiver crystal I knew was good.
Still didn't work. It had to be transmitter specific. Once I did that it worked like a champ.
I'm not sure if that's a common thing with AM /FM systems but it was the case with
my Traxxas TQ3 AM radio.

Must be why the one that was shipoed with my ofna doesn't work. I hqve 3 am rx n txs that are old am. 1 tq3 and the other 2 fufaba(untested)
can't wait to get my new fs-gt3c tx though!!:D

Power switch failures are somewhat common, especially on nitro vehicles (the vibration and the nitro ick). Plug a receiver pack directly into the receiver and see what happens.

Specific to the point of:

AM or FM

correct frequency (27, 72, 75 MHz)

Single or dual conversion

I have tried bypassing the switch il try switching things about and as far as I know its a hpi nitro rs4 2
I have tried 3 sets of crystals 2 sets are tx rx specific and are in the right ones

You have one of the following problems

Your wiring it wrong, you can plug servos in backwards unless the have the little tab like the traxxas ones

Your battery is dead...plug the battery into the rx, with the servo unplugged turn the horn then plug the servo back in. Even if the radio doesn't work you should hear something when you plug the servo in

You have a lot of burnt electronics...This is not impossible but rather unlikely

Your next step is a visit to a hobby shop before the buyer drives a very long distance for nothing.

How could I of been so stupid I had servo wires backwards cheers guys

Happens to everyone at some point. Be glad you didn't plug an ESC into a power source backwards; lets the smoke out instantly.

Just remember that the negative wire (usually black or brown) always faces outward, the signal wire (usually white or yellow) always inwards. Some Airtronics stuff is wonky, but everything is Futaba standard these days.

Think il leave the electric one well alone haha dont fancy blowing an esc and ah il have to remember that for future reference

Guess you will just have to hang around here and keep it, lol ......hey it was meant to be

Well after the quick answers and help from you lot I think I'm here to stay
Next on list will be sort the tt01 out then get myself somethin for serious off road bashing

Theres alot of off road bashers around here man, judging by your charger you must live in england somewhere? Check your area to see what kind of parts are available for which models before you buy something.....something like a t-maxx, a savage or an lst are a few great mt's for bashing

Yeah matey I am I know where I can bash off road but nowhere for this thing that had 7.5mm ground clearance I'm steering towards the 1/5 bajas:)

Imo if your gonna go 1/5 spend the xtra cash and get a hpi or another top brand
