Anybody try this? I rented it yesterday, played it for about five hours, and it's a blast! The first few races were pretty easy, but it gets harder, and the harder it gets, the more fun it is. If anybody is getting it, add me on PSN, AlienRevolution, and we can compare scores with the AutoLog system. I have t until Thursday, then next week I'll probably buy it when Gran Turismo 5 comes out.

I need to get it. I LOVED all the NFS's on ps1 and ps2.

If the physics aren't drastically better than the demo, then I'm not interested. I loved the old NFS Hot Pursuit, but NFS Shift and Forza 3 has ruined me as far as physics is concerned.

With Shift they were tapping into the simulator market. Hot Pursuit retail is about the same as the demo as far as physics, which is fine, I like it that way, because I'm getting GT5 fort he simulator feel.

I dig all of the NFS games except for shift. I'll be obtaining a used ps3 with 2 controllers for 100 bucks soon, and that will be one i buy

I have Forza 3 and Shift both. I thought that Shift was the perfect blend of arcade and sim physics, and the in car experience was the best of any game I've ever played. There were literally times where the racing line was telling you that you could make the corner at that speed, but thanks to the feedback in the controller, and outstanding sense of speed, your brain was screaming slow the hell down or you're gonna die! :D Good to know about the retail version though, thanks for the heads up alien.

I absolutely HATE non-sim racing games anymore. Hopefully GT5 will allow us to invite friends to races. I figure well do a lot of GT5 racing Alien. Woohoo.

Sidenote- you gonna go for the collectors edition?

I liked Shift up until my car started bouncing like a rubber ball for no reason. Other than that, it was a great game.

Lessen: Not sure yet.

My platform (PC) Got the short stick on the demo. Combined with the increasingly onerous DRM on most PC games these days, I probably won't be buying this. But it's not for lack of interest, on my part.

I plan on getting it, but I think I'll have my wife get it for me for Christmas, I want to get GT5 for PS3, and Black Ops for PC next week. Buying three games will cost me too much, and the wife is griping already about me buying stuff for myself right before Christmas.
