I need help. I just bought a Kyosho Mad Force. It starts but as soon as I give it throttle it dies. It helps if I leave the glow starter on but even then it bogs down when I give it throttle. New to Nitro. Any help appreciated.

Is it brand new or used?
Do you have known good, strong batteries on the glow starter?
Is your fuel new?
Are you getting good fuel flow to the engine?
Any bubbles in the lines?
Are you priming it before you start it?
Re-set the carb to factory defaults and try again.
Check the glowplug for a good strong bright glow.

The engine is new. The fuel is new. The glow starter is new and the glow plug glows bright. I am priming the engine and there's no bubbles in the lines. It is set to the factory settings.

It definatly sounds to rich if its dieing as soon as you start it and remove the ignighter.

Are you just now breaking the motor in?

Also is it cold out where are you located what is the temp outside there?

I live in Fort Worth, TX. I am using 10% Traxxas Nitro and yes I am breaking the motor in. Thanks for the responses.

Also it's between 40 and 50 degrees outside.

It doesn't say whether to drive it or not. It just says not to accelerate it abruptly or give it full throttle.

well, what I do is just idle it for 2 1/2 more tanks then start driving and see what happends

You can start putting around on the 3rd tank if you like. Or wait till the fourth. You need to lean it out a bit that is why it is dieing so quickly. Is fuel coming our of the exaust? Or is it smoking a lot? X
