Hey guys, I was wondering what model I might get for a maximum of $250 (electronics included). I want something basic that teaches me how to take care of a plane and how to fly it. I don’t want anything huge, prop planes and jets are fine, but no helicopters.

Thanks! :)

Lots of micro birds AKA park flyers out there. Rarely do the break when flying them in a grassy areas.
They are under $200 for most of them.

An Aeroscout S is probably the best bang for your buck, not sure what your definition of huge is - it's not small, but the fact that its large enough to take off and land on (short) grass gives you more places to fly, and it's size makes it easier to fly than something tiny & light.

Agree 100%. For $200 you get the plane and transmitter. Just add battery. What I started with.

That is certainly a great option, same with the Micro Apprentice STOL plane.
