hey guys i have a redcat/exceed sct (rally monster/ vortex ss) and it revs and smokes when i first start it and when i give it throttle it dies out I'm thinking exhaust leak due to the fact i seen what looked like fuel and bubbles in where the bolt foor the exhaust manifold goes
Thanks in advance

90% of the time it's a tuning issue. Check out the tuning guide in the following link. There's also a link there that you can click to print out a full page .pdf to take outside when you're working on it. Keep us posted.

no the fact is i tuned it great while i had it running it wont move and its smoking out the manifold and exhaust

If your exuast leaks real bad at the header,it will cause your engine to run lean.
You need the back pressure from your exuast to pressurize the fuel tank to help
push the fuel to the carb..If the pressure is not there,it will cause the engine to
run lean.
You will probably need a new header gasket,an it would be a good idea to
seal your engine as well.

^That tuning guide is very good, so keep for future reference. As for your issue, a video would be nice so we can see exactly where the smoke is coming from. :)

i put new header on did nothing still runs reall rich tried to lean it out a bit to get the idle down did nothing

There should be an o-ring or gasket, depending on exhaust port shape, between the header and engine. Have you checked to make sure it's present and not torn?

i replaced it and it doesn't do anything it'll rev to almost max and just start dying out when i give throttle. i tried to lean it but i watched it as it was surging but still maintained rev

The best thing to do,is to start back from scratch with the tune,an look at the given links from the Guy's.
If those don't help, then it could be something else like an incorrect idle through via the radio or throttle
linkage setting,or it could be an air leak or even a dirty tank filter causing the high revs. Also, make
sure the head bolts are tight, sometimes they loosen up.
It could be just something simple that your missing!

So did you fix the issue of it smoking- the only place it should smoke from is the tip of the exhaust (Label E):
Do you also have a fuel line connected to the nipple at the top of the exhaust (Label F)
