I Have An Nitro Evader ST. And The Problem I Have Is That The E-Clip That Holds The Clutch Bell Assymbly Together Keeps Flyin Off Which Makes The Outer Bearing And Spacer Fly Of To. I Tried 2 Part Epoxy And Put A Dab Of It On The Clip And That Didnt Work. Can Anyone Help?

Is it an E clip or a ring clip? If it's an e-clip, you can grind a little bit away where the arrow is:

and lightly pinch it with pliers to make it bite more.

Yes Its Like The One On Your Pic.

What About Possible Heat Shrink Around The Assym?

if the e-clips are giving you trouble give a snap ring a try. those mostlikly will not come off. Youll have to pick up a pair or snap ring plier too if you dont already have a pair.

I'm thinkin i might have done that with a dab of epoxy. on it but i dont know how good epoxy works on hardend steel (or what ever the shaft is made out of).

I'm kinda new to the nitro R/C's I Grew Up On Elecs.

Does Sound Like A Good Idea Yes I Do Have A Set Of Snap-Ring Pliers.
I Am A Auto Tech Buy Trade (12 yr) So I Do Have Some Sweet Tools That Can Come In Handy For R/C's......But Like I Said I'm Green In The Nitro World.

well epoxy really only works with rough surfaces(sp?)

cuz it gives it something to grab if u know what i mean so i would try either getting a new one pinching it or try a snap ring

I Think I'm Going To Try A Snap Ring And Scuff The Suface(Shaft & Snap Ring) And Use A Dab Of Epoxy Just To Be Safe.

Thank You For All Your Input And Time To Help Me Out.

well if u rough too much of it up youll have a prob with balance and your bearings wont roll right

i wont. their is the outer bearing then the spacer 1/8 inch thick or so then the groove where the snap-ring will go on. I'm just going to put a very slight amount of epoxy on the front side(2 of em 180 out of each other).

Read this if you think your problem might be that the snap ring groove isn't exposed enough past the end of the clutch bell.

I put an Ofna clutch and bell on a Picco that went into a T-Maxx .21 conversion.

The bell never sat down close enough to get the snap-ring seated properly until I ground a few thousandths off the flywheel nut. (The inner bearing on the clutch bell is flush against the outside of the flywheel nut. Grind down the flywheel nut and a little more of the snap ring groove on the shaft is exposed.)

i will have to double check that!! but I'm thinkin possible (snap ring seating) isnt an issue. i remember allways having some end to end play.
