No doubt for some reason NASCAR faithfuls hate people who win all the time. The bottom line is that Jeff Gordon can drive. He has shown it plenty of times. He has the ability to win. And with the likes of Rusty, Ricky Rudd and Mark Martin on the way out, Gordo gains all sorts of seniority and becomes one of the voices of experience in the series. You can love him or hate him. Same as DE Sr. But no matter what, he'll still win races. He's been saddled with second rate crewchiefs lately and hopefully that trend will end. And we all know that no matter how ugly flames are, they always make a car go faster.
Just so you see I'm not a Hendricks buttkiss, I laughed my butt off when Jimmie Johnson got busted yesterday. Ummm...isn't this like his 2nd or 3rd recent violation? Bitch has to cheat to win. And even then, he can't win, can he?
And the biggest whiner in NASCAR (now that Tony Stewart is playing nice) is by far Robbie Gordon. Gonna have to secure the Kleenex sponsorship for this season I think.

Really Chad got busted not Jimmie.The rear window height was altered.Nascar already sent his ass back to Charlotte.
 
Jimmie does win, the first part of the Season, then he seems to taper off, or should I say his team?
 
#48 = overrated

that's pretty much all I have to say about him. I don't dislike him but I definately think he is.
 
That's what is great about racing. There is always someone bickering about some one is over rated or is an idiot. [handing] Kleenex [/handing]....carry on.

I think you subconsciously dislike him. To say he is overrated after what he has done in his very short cup career is wrong IMO. I can't remember any other driver being that good in such a short time. But everyone is entitled to there opinion. Now his personality could use some work but that has nothing to do with racing. J Bone is right, nascar is better with a little ribbing, just wait until Jeff is kicker but yall are going to be sick of me LOL

Chad Knaus = Gone bye, bye! LOL Frickin cheatin' bastard enjoy watching the race on TV you plug! You gotta wonder for those who say jimmy has done alot in his short career how much of it was related to cheating? I mean this is Chad's third time getting caught and like the 5th time something they did was in question. As for Gordon, he will never be as good as he was when he had Evernham on top of the box. Granted Ray's teams aren't so hot right now, but you couple his engineering genious with someone that has half a skill driving a car and you've got hot poop! His recent crew chiefs have been half rate at best and they're using old notes, not hitting on anything new. Oh and in case you couldn't tell, I can't stand Hendrick or anyone driving for him!
 
Oh, didn't see the part about Edwards. I like his style, too.

Well, I'm a Stewart fan, so go ahead and razz me. JG is ok, but I am tired of him. I like watching the rookies come up and take over, like Edwards.

True Chad has been caught cheating just like most crew chiefs do, he just needs to learn not to get caught.

As for Gordon unfortunately I agree, I don't think he will ever find a crew chief like Ray. This last knucklehead (Loomis) was a joke, he sat on the box and asked Jeff what to do. I still believe he has one or two championships left though.

Edit: Hey RR, Tony sux LOL. I don't like him but I have to admit that he is one of the best drivers out there. You won't find many drivers that can "will" a car around the track like him.

The only drivers I truly don't like are Kurt Busch and Matt Kenseth. I base my favs and non favs on personality only and those two don't appeal to me at all. JJ doesn't really appeal to me but his personality doesn't necessarily irritate me either like the above mentioned so I don't consider myself to dislike him.

I think Greg Biffle is on the same level as Jimmy, I dont' know about time but I think it's a reasonable comparison.

Look, these guys are all very good at what they do. All I'm saying is that some of them get far more credit than they deserve when compared to the entire picture. If Jr wasn't the son of an icon his performance wouldn't yield any more fan popularity than Biffle. We can thank the media for that.

Now I know I sound like a guy that simply doesn't like winners or the popular fan favorites and I'll admit that's partially true but I think Jr. is great! He is a talented and honerable racer with outstanding emotion and personality. Other drivers fit that description as well, some are proven winners and are popular favorites and some are not.

Greg Biffle is very good and , I like him almost as much as Jeff and I truly believe he will a champion one day, but not sure if he is as good as JJ. Before they came to cup racing he was probably better than JJ but being with Jeff and Hendricks has it's advantages. Now that next statement you made about Jr is great is where I strongly disagree. The only reason he gets respect is because of his dad, he hasn't earned any on his own from where I sit.
 
Been off of here for a while.... I just love the racin'! I went to the qualifications and shootout, and I am going to the 500 on Sunday!!! Superstretch Baby!!!! One of the perks of livin' here I guess... :w00t:

well, he's won some races. I think that deserves a bit of recognition. I like him for the person he is, not simply the name he carries.

He has a few wins under his belt but most are on super speedways, regardless of how good the driver is it's the aero guys and engine shop deserves most of the credit. On tracks that require finesse he struggles and if he drove for someone else the thought of loosing his high profile ride would be on his mind. I loved watching his dad race and maybe because of who he is I expected too much from him but IMO he is the most overrated driver on the track.

What the 48 team did was wrong but I guess that's the only team to ever cheat.:opps:
