It's getting to be about every other time I drive my truck that a fracking wheel falls the frack off. Any ideas as to why this may be?

Tighten your wheel nuts a lttle more. If they are nylon locknuts you may want to replace them, if they are not nylon filled use some threadlock.

Well I got to give him credit, at least he's making an attempt to be PG, LOL.

On a serious note though, try just a light dab of thread lock and let it sit over night. If that doesn't work, then you may want to get yourself some new nuts. Sounds like your old ones are shot.

Yea, Apply some Blue lock-tite to the threads of eack axle,do not apply the nut. Let them dry & you should no longer have that problem,no matter what wheel nut you use. You may have to re-apply once in a while. I use this method on all my cars.

I had to replace one of the hex things the other day after I stripped out one rim. I went ahead and replaced them all and used brand new lock nuts. I know that I couldn't possibly tighten them any more. After the first one fell off I tightened the crap outta all the new ones. One was so tight that that the hex part rubbed and welded itself to the c shaped thing!

Blue loc-tite sounds like a plan, I'll give it a shot.

By-the-by, has anyone used gorrilla glue to glue a rounded 'hex thing' to a stripped wheel? Or would that be a waste of my time?

gorilla glue will expand as it dries so you want to make sure that you use it in small amounts or it could get on other parts and seize them up!

Huh? Granted it may be a serious lack of sleep at this moment, but that doesn't make any sense to me at all.

I'm with you on that one, I got know idea how that's going to keep the nuts from coming loose. +1 on the blue loc tite just make sure to let it dry over night...
