I recently replaced my motor in my rc10gt with a orion wasp .12. the problem I'm having is when i start my truck it only runs for about a second or two. If i continously tap on the exhaust tip the truck will stay running. i thought that my fuel tank was leaking air so i got a new one and it still doesn't work. Anyone one have any ideas?
thanks

Sounds like you need to prime it more. When you start it up, hold the Exaust closed for a second and then try starting it. It should work. If not...try adjusting the Idle screw. It might be set to low. BTW: thats a nice engine-Orion Wasp .12!

Yes, prime it. That is a good idea. Also looke for blockages in the fuel line, clogged filter.. You get the idea. I've seen some carbs come with "built" in restrictors. Never know these days. :)

Also, make sure you have the pressure tube into the exaust outlet. If you don't the engine won't be able to get fuel. :)

specv, I had the same problem once. It turned out to be the primer in the fuel tank. It was basically sticking closed and not letting any fuel get to the carb. You said you bought a new tank, but I supposed it's possible both have the same problem. See if it runs while you hold the primer button down. If so the primer is the problem so remove it.
