i finnaly started working on my track.. i got it lined out, mowed down really short, and sprayed with roundup.. i got pics but you can't really see it because it isnt finnished.. it isnt as big as i wanted it but there was only 3 guys workin gon it so my initial layout was to big for us... so we scaled it down.. can't wait to get all the grass killed and smooth it out!! anyway heres the pics!!

first off three pics of the lot

thats a sweet track layout!! thats all i do at school all day is draw new layouts so i can start this summer on one at my grandpas ranch!!

later,
tyler

jon i told her it was ether that or i go to the local track every sunday and its 30-45 min away.. hey max if you got photoshop you can turn on the grid and it really helps thats how i made that layout..

Such a shame to ruin such beautiful grass. Looks huge now. How big was it originaly?

oh lets see prolly 1500 feet it was a 180'x100' lot and it took almost all of it..

thanks beason i might have to try that because I'm always trying to find a way to do it on my comp for an easier way to get my track perfect but never seem to get it right.

thanks,
tyler

Dude that track is awesome! I wish I had a track nearby, or at least a place to make one but I got shafted with neiter...:(

click view then show, then grid, i set the page to the scale size of the area i want to use.. say 13" x 10" for this one.. track is 130' X 100' and the grid is 1 inch grid.. so the lanes are scale 10 feet lanes.. I've been trying to find a way to do that easly,, i finnaly found this setup last night..

That will be one large and fun track I think!

Now if only we had that amount of space to build ours on :(

beason....i will be out there to help next sunday bro....Let me know what you need me to bring.!!!! That looks sooooo sweeeet..good job man!!!!

i got it sprayed.. I'm gonna spray it again tommorow then i gotta start dragging it i made a drag outa a sheet of tin and 4 cinder blocks.. but I'm not sure how well its gonna work.. we need some dividers but its gonna take some change$$$.. lowes has 100' roles for 27 bux but were gonna need ALOT of those roughly 22 of them.. so well just have to make due right now.. maby i can charge admission and set up a concession stand!! but we do need a stand BAD its so big you can't see the back area very well

If ya can wet it down before ya drag it the drag will work alot faster. Really works awesome. I didnt have access to a hose when I did mine, Since I'm about 200 yards from the house in a pasture, so I had to wait till it rained, then I was out there with the drag behind the 4 wheeler..Worked slick. Looks good, Nice and straight edges! Nice work!

good luck w/it. hope neighbors or ur old lady will let it slide. the whole field of dreams baseball field in the corn crop deal. different choice on layout. lil angular for me. i like curves. sheesh if i had some space and time to upkeep it...an ideal track for me would incorporate some of crandon (off road track), spa, monza, the 'ring, monaco, laguna, and the LA coliseum supercross tracks of 80s/early 90s. eh but this is only 1 man's opinion

it will be curvyer later.. we just used strait lines to keep it all square.. already had one of the neighbors come out to see what we were up to.. she thought we were selling the lot and marking it off.. she said she had seen us out running befor and loves watching she said shes gonna bring her 11 year old grandson and watch one weekend.. so thats one neighbor down.. she said she will pull a chair out there and set and watch lol

Man you have enough room there to make a 1:1 off road trail lol. Just need a pile of massive rocks a mud pit and a huge hill to climb and your set lmao! Ill bring my Chevy over hehe :jk:

Thats going to be sweet post pics when its done. You should set up lighting too, except the neighbors might not like the sound of nitros at 10 pm lol

Yeah...just decide how you want it and i can get r dun. We can maybe use the fence posts for bracing but that may be a bit far out from the track? Plenty of time to decide that. This is gonna be great!!!

You guys are gonna have a blast! We tryed to buy the empty lot behing our house for a track but the retarted owners wouldent sell it to us.
