Since I wasn't on here for a while here is a update with the slash.
Upgrades I had done to it:
MIP X-Duty Driveshafts (I am having a pin problem. Sometimes the pin falls out because there is nothing to hold it in. For now i have some pieces of tape there to hold it in. I will do something later once I upgrade to brushless
2s Lipos - I got 2 brands one is a amazon brand which is a 6200mah 50c 2s. The other one is a Hoovo 2s 5200mah 80c
Traxxas anaconda street tires - Since i mostly run on the street i decided to get these instead of keep getting sct tires and keep wearing them down.
Traxxas Aluminum Bellcrank
Traxxas big bore shocks
RPM front and rear shock towers
RPM front and rear bumpers
RPM rear bumper mount
RPM castor/sterring blocks and rear hubs - I actually bent one of the RPM castor blocks. Luckily i still had a stock one in my spare parts bag. I will either get another RPM set or go to aluminum
Body - I went with a traxxas clear body since it was my 1st time painting one and so i didn't have to cut it out and punch the body holes. The colors is blue in the front, silver in the middle and orange in the back
The slash is on its 3rd brushed motor i think, I am upgrading to brushless soon!!! My uncle and one guy at the hobby shop i go to says to get the hobbywing
max10 sct 4000kv
I had upped the pinion gear to 23t(the optional high speed gearing) to get more speed
I am still running the somewhat stock servo, i have the traxxas 2075R servo which is the same servo as stock but with metal gears. I'm planning to get a better one for cheaper. I was looking at some of the amazon servos
Rx/Tx - I still have the stock TQ radio. Since the car is almost 7 years old it is loosing alot of range. I was looking at the traxxas tqi which comes with the vxl models. The tqi rx/tx is about 120 for some basic radio. It does come with a gyro. The amazon ones are 60/70ish dollars and provide a lot more features than the tqi so i might be going amazon route. The popular amazon brands are flysky and radiolink.
I did do a monster slash project but I did know it won't be good and it wasn't good. I did have some motor problems and steering problems. I still have the tires. I'm keeping the tires if I get a stampede 2wd or 4x4. I think I wont be able to use it on any 1/10 scale arrmas because i think 1/10 arrmas use 14mm hex not 12mm.
But even if i do get a arrma i think they do sell 12mm hex conversion kits.
