Since winter came i've found myself addicted to snowmobiling, so i decided that i'd share my latest purchase that i made today with you all.

This is my new toy, a 2005 Sno Pro 440 race sled that has been partially trail converted:

Post up and let me know what you think

Congrats! Sleds can be alot of fun.

Not to thread jack but I got a funny, to me, story about a sled. My cousin had a brand new one a few years ago, 10k out the door, made a big deal about being able to hydroplane across a local lake, tv crew showed up and everything....Jack ass forgot to turn his gas back and it died right after he got out onto the lake :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

Sweet!

The one time I drove a snowmobile I had a blast. No snow where I live or I would have one.

Man that's cool MGT, I've always wanted to try sleds. LMAO at the lake story, classic "hey ya'll, watch this" :D

Aren't those the same guys that think a six-pack and bug-zapper are an evening's entertainment?

Lucky you, I was looking at a sno pro too but ended up short on money and got a ZL 600 EFI. It RIPS!! Snow must be good in canada!

Nice to see you guys like it :)

LOL to the sled story, water skipping really is easy, just never let go of the throttle...but apparently make sure your gas is on first

And i wish the snow was good up here, almost gone already, probably only going to get the ride the new girl once more this year :(

Also, i don't know if anybody noticed "Crapo" on the back of the seat, but this sled was actually Shaun Crapo's from Team Arctic Cat

Shaun Crapo of the infamous crapo brothers of MX freeride / sled circles possibly? I think that's a pretty darn cool fact. I've always lusted after a prior year AMA pro bike, since a lot of teams usually sell them off. Simply put the street legal bits and EPA smog stuff back on, and you can ride a championship winner to work every day, that'd be cool IMHO.

I beleive it is, both Shaun(the one who's sled this was) and his brother Kurtis signed with team arctic cat in 2003, so unless there happens to be another "Crapo" family who does the same thing, we must be talking about the same people lol

and +1 to the rest of that, i think it's pretty cool to be able to say i have so and so's sled or bike thats one multiple races or anything like that

Ya I here ya charlie. Snowmobiling is the only thing that keeps me sane during the winter months, and my emaxx! :hehe:

Not enough for me too like the snow lol, I've tried but it just isnt enough.

I'm in the process of removing all of that ugly orange right now, will post some pics up once the arms are painted and re-installed(can't reinstall them untill next wednesday though because i'm waiting for parts :( ).

unfortunatly i don't think i'm going to be able to take it for a real rip this winter, it's been raining for 2 days straight. hopefully i'll still be able to find some snow in the bush somewhere next week

EDIT: color dilemma, what do you guys think, black, or cat green for the arms and rear handle/bumper thing?

Pic of it's current state, will be this way untill my parts come in next wednesday:

I'm looking into getting the arms powder coated black, i think that will be the best way for me to get a lasting finish

Nice work MGT, hard to go wrong with black BTW. I would also bead blast that pipe while you're tearing into it, I had one that I let go thinking, ah I'll get it next winter, and it pitted it permanently.

Very nice man! Boy do I miss sledding. I own river property in Washington state and I keep a few sleds and quads there, unfortunately I have been so busy with work I haven't been able to go and vacation there in over 6 years.... Before I left Washington for Virginia however I picked up an '01 ZR600 w/ a Fast M12 suspension setup on it. What a sweet riding sledding, it tackled everything I could throw at it. I miss it dearly and I hope to see it one winter soon!!
