right, i decided, after having 2 MT's and not liking either of them much, i decided to get a truggy, to hoprfully see if this was my 'thing'.

so here is a quick pic of my new ride, a Hot Bodies Lightning GT.:)

its completely stock at the moment and I've only got one pic, ill try to get some more later on...

and a quick vid aswell to see how this thing runs, bare with me as its not quite fully tuned yet..

lil hint rip that stock pipe off and put a sportwerks 053 pipe on it. you'll see that stock motor wake right up!!

Blitzkrieg: thanks for the advice, but ill keep the pipe i have on for now, quiet, and I'm still getting used to it..

olds97_lss: yes they are stock, all 7.7 inches of them. it has got hardend diffs to cope with them tho.

Olds... I think those are the stockers...

i think having those wheels on puts quite a bit of stress on the clutch, as it only has a 2shoe set up.

i might looking to fitting a 3 shoe savage set up with flywheel as its basicly the same motor.

I would swap the pipe out asap. Even if its a cheapo pipe its better then that canister.

any pipes you can reccomend, nothing too expensive.:hehe:

What do you consider too expensive?

You can get a hobao 053 069 for around 50 us

You can also get the jammin line which in the uk is hong nor jp1 or jp2 which both are great pipes for 50ish. You can also get them used fairly cheap. I found the pipe that comes on the lsp isn't that bad of a pipe. Its definatly better then the canister on your rig, and you could get that on ebay for cheap!

Pipes... are you looking to get a one piece pipe or something less?

Why not get a different clutch like a mugen set up? Aluminum clutch shoes to help out that big wheel set up. Also you may want to regear.

I am reaching here but do you have the dual engine set up or the single?

i think he has the single as he struggled to keep his s-25 in one piece

JK

erm, whos the one who's truck never wanted to start when we went for a bash around?:ponder2:

yea its a single engined one, and I'm thinking about putting the savage HD clutch set up on it as the clutch seems to be the weakest part and is sapping quite alot of power, saying that, it was just a bit slower than my mates hyper 7 today.

I only said to regear if it was a dual engine. Not to familiar with that ride, Does it have a slipper?

Jon, its a lsp with a few differences....spool center diff, canister exhaust, dual steering servos, and a few others. Its the basher version of the lsp.

Vb,

Regarding the spool center diff...does this mean it is locked?

Yes its a spur with 2 shafts. I'll get a pic.

Canister exhaust...

Dual servos and if you look in the left of the pic the spur is there and there is no diff housing only a straight shaft. I can't find a better pic.

Thanks for the pics VB and clearing up the center spool question. I have to wonder why they went with a spool and not a geared diff.

Mega any updates on how she it is running? I'm interested in how well the engine turns those big tires.

the engine is plenty powerful enough to turn the big wheels..

its the clutch that is weak as it overheats and slips quite easily as its only a 2 shoe.....

i love the twin steering servo's, plenty powerful enough to turn the wheels standing still:)

oh and thanks VB for explaining the spool thing, and answering all the questions for me..

I had one it pretty durable and yes get rid of that 2 piece clutch, the Hb 3 shoe is fine. That can pipe sucks alot of power out of that motor!! Then upgrade to lsp pro shocks otherwise your replacing the ends all the time.. other than that it was a blast good luck with her
