I'm in the process of makin a jump now..... but its just got a consistant incline without a kick so i can get used to takin it off jumps for abit......(some off you probably think I'm bein soft but my buggy has spent 90% of its time since i bought it off the road n busted) but for the part of the ramp the buggy runs over will be perspex cos we thinkin off doin videos therefore we can stash a video camera inside the ramp for the videos....what ya think bout that idea people????.... but once i get used to jumpin(which hopefully will only be a few runs over a day or 2 then i can adjust the jump with a kick for more fun, which will be easy because its made from perspex........and it has handles for easy moving.......

let me know what you think...... any tips would be greatly appreciated.....

I'm having trouble uploading pics here so ill post a facebook link to check it out.....here is the link......

how thick is the plastic/plexi glass ?? any hard hits and its likely to crack, also, with age and sun being on it, it will become brittle over time.

Polycarbonate is a little stronger on the other hand, but again, will become brittle over time.

Not trying to rain on your parade, just thought i'd give you the heads up.

Couldn't see the jump...would have to log in to facebook, and my account is deactivated. Wanna see it!!:\

its not that thick thunder tiger.....but i have stomped on it n it didnt crack..... yeh in know it will slowly go brittle over time with the sun but hopefully thatll be ages away n ill have built another one by then...

here is the youtube link for it.......

yehs it not to bad abadk9420..... it was a pretty good tumble..... tried to drive away from it but no good so i thought the worse.... i had to communication between tx n rx..... turns out it was just 1 of the batteries in the receiver had came out slightly....abit of tape fixed that......but wish i had it on b4 the tumble so i couldve driven away but oh well........SH!T HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanx taz1175.......perspex is a good idea cos its flexible.... when i wana add a lip to the jump....then all i gota do is unscrew a few screws n add abit more wood for abit of a lip n then we get some backflips happening...... but as I've said....... i didnt think it would be that hard tryin to hit the ramp ryt....... if I'm a little off them it tumbles me....as u can see in the last jump i attempted..... but overall its fun n practice......

Hey that looks like a nice ramp, especially having the ease to add that lip at the end to get the real stunts coming!!! jeje. Il start on my one as soon as possible.....

Your welcome, no problem !
So then it's pretty much looks like plexi-glass as Thunder_Tiger said.:D

yeh well i guess it is plexi-glass then.... same thing diff name in diff countries.....

Plexi glass and polycarbonate are different forms of clear plastic. Plexi glass is actually WEAKER than polycarbonate due to the chemical make up of the material.

polycarbonate is also less likely to yellow with age or crack or get crazing in any curvature of the material.

OK, that said, nice jump and good air acheived, with a lip, i forsee backflips and lid landings. :hehe:

good job !
