I got my car yesterday, it came fully run in and after a little more running in today i began to open it up a bit. Everything was going fine unitll i was on a straight and then all of a sudden it cut out, i thought maybe it was the fuel, but no. After around 20 mins of tryin to restart it i gave up. I brought it home and tried a friends glow plug in it, and first pull it was ready to go. Has anyone heard of glow plugs failing like that and what could have caused it? Also now that i do have to replace which should i replace it with?

Yes. I get veried longevity results with glow plugs. Pick up some spares if you haven't already done that. Depending on your driving habits, you may want to keep at least 2-3 extras on hand.

Listen to StrechM, Kimosabee...Him speak truth.
Always keep a couple of spare plugs with you. Sometimes it might last for months, and sometimes they go during one tank.

i dont know what engine ur running or anything. but most of the time when ur breaking a engine in, ur gona go through glow plugs. i love the OS #8 glow plugs, they work great and last me a good amount of time, but they go for like $8 a piece.

They do make long and short plugs for different motors.
Find out what length plug your motor takes.
Then go from there.
O.S. # 8 is a great plug.
