Ok heres my situation. I am 15 and am earning money but not a job. I have $200 and want to spend it on a nitro rc truck. I was hoping to buy a Redragon volcano or a a Exceed infinitive but upgrade them as I acquired the money. I really want to have it for the summer but i am capable of saving money.(but its no fun) So i have a couple of questions.
1.Are there name brand Rc around my price range.
2.Are the ones I picked out alright.
3.Any suggestions are appreciated

Many people, including me think exceed sucks. And that is because it does. They make poor quality, and unreliable rc's. If I was you, I would save 100 more dollars and buy either a HPI firestorm, Traxxas nitro sports, or a Team Associated GT2(which is what I have, it is awesome). You can also visit a hobbyshop and they can help you. Also I have never heard of reddragons.

Do yourself a favor and save yourself from headaches. Save a bit more money and buy a quality RC from a reputable manufacturer such as: Losi, Associated, Traxxas or HPI?

Yeah but that review was made from a person who has 0 experience in rc cars. I think he should rather go to a hobby shop and talk to someone who has many years of experience with rc cars.

i bought the rdcat volcano for my 2 kids and girlfriend and I have worked on them less than my tmaxx's/emaxx. still the same glow plug from factory at 6 or 7 months.. they are alot of fun and a real good beginner I think!!! but everbody has an opinion.. I would say save up to 300-400 so when you buy your rig you can buy nitro, glow plugs and, and a starter kit.. just make sure you can get parts for what ever you get!!!! it is sometimes easier to go to your lhs and see what they carry so you dont have to order everything.. good luck!!!

That is the big problem. It is almost impossible to get redcat parts. That is why not a lot of people recommend them.

alright i went to my lhs and they were going on about the traxxas t maxx. they had all the replacement parts there so i decided on getting a used tmaxx and i could replace parts pretty easy is any are bad.

i like the maxx I have 2 3.3 tmaxx's and 2 classic tmaxx's one of which has been upgraded to a 3.3 and slamed it to the ground. insane little rig. if you can find a classic with a 3.3 on it for a good price they are faster than the 3.3 maxx's. just alittle bit of info..
