We have one in Ontario Oregon which 20 minutes from us but rarely do I shop there. Not a good inventory at all and they lean more towards the flying hobby. Once in a while he has a couple cars on the floor is all.
There are two more in Boise which is a hour away but we don't go there often. I buy all of my stuff online.
There is 2 Bros Hobbies about a hour from us but the last couple of times I've went there, he has been closed. They do have races there also but never been.

It’s like twenty degrees outside today so I went up to the hobby shop to check out the new crawler corse. While I was they I got a look at the new carpet track that’s going in. LED lights really nice wood sub flooring. It’s also huge.
Over on the crawler corse I was playing with some of the features.

Spent the morning clearing the floor for the new carpet track.
80x45 feet of track surface with an eight place driver stand and pit area.
The floor will be a rubber base tongue and groove floating floor like you would put in a basement. Then the new CRC race carpet will go down. They have spent a couple months building a whole collection of jumps. Plus installing LED lighting and electrical for the pit area and painting the whole thing. It’s a massive project.

Massive progress with the track. I don’t know what to do for a road car. I think I’ll probably start with the box stock 4-tec class. RTR 300 dollars no mods but shock oil and springs . We will see. I have all my carpet buggies ready to go. It’s an 80x45 foot of track surface and a huge pit are. I can’t wait .

The first preliminary race will be held Saturday at Crash and Bash Hobbies in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Gates open at 11:30.
It’s going to be road racing like VTA, USGT, USVTA and 4-tec. That will be box stock and pro.

I only have a broken VTA car so I need to get a 4-tec today and I’ll race the pro 4-tec class.
Should be a blast .

Well the day has finally arrived. The new track is open for business. I got my 4 tec out and immediately had to barrow some better tires. The stock drift car tires are to hard. I was driving around at a13-15 second laps. Changed tires and it was solid 13.0 and much more controllable.

Fifth place basically there were four guys that did not crash. And two guys that did. I did not crash but I am slow. They said my motor will break in and the car will loosen up after a number of battery packs. The track is fantastic.

This week the hobby shop has the off-road track set up. I’m really excited to run there this Saturday.
I have my Exotec b6.3 2wd buggie and my mini-B that I race every other Friday. But Saturday I will get to run my Losi 22-x4 eliete with a center slipper carbon fiber chassis and a 13.5 Juststock motor. I have only driven it twice. Finally get to stretch its legs.
