hi everyone bought a f350 crawler just after christmas and i'm loving it, its brilliant fun.
BUT (i knew that was comin theres always a but) i have the standard eqipment that came with the truck.
eg....teu302bk esc, acoms 4 channel receiver, acoms 4 channel radio set and two acoms as17 servos. i'm getting very annoyed by the glitching of the truck sometimes making small precise movements makes my truck go crazy it shoots off out of control and theres nothing i can do to keep control and when it comes to rest after destroying some furniture or breaking some bystanders ankle the esc beeps and the transmission servo changes gear all by itself going back and forth.
please tell theres someone else who's experienced this problem.

i was thinking of getting the novak rooster esc and novaks 55t crawler motor anyone got any good words to say about those much appreciated,

Its a ford f-350 thats your problem haha Get a chevy duramax that will fix the problem! Just playing with you man i'm not sure what the real problem is but some one will chime in and help you out i don't know much about that set up. Good luck.

Who wants a dirtymax lol i like em both personally if it was a dodge then it wouldnt have turned on at all.

Is it the Tamiya? Going to a 2.4 radio will take care of the glitching. A new esc is also a great idea. But the rooster is not an ideal esc in my opinion. They can only do 2s lipo and if you decide to take the plunge into lipo's some time, it would be way better to beable to run 3s.

I like them all personally. I prefer a duramax over them but would drive any of them.

Dodge Cummins without the dodge! :hehe: Ford superduty, with cummins 24 valve, and Allison tranny! Lets not talk about the dirtymax! :hehe:

I have heard thats the best set up Us guys down here at ATS diesel Performance call that set up a FUMMINS!!! I would like to build one my self. I would use a 12v though!

Could you guys crap this dudes thread up any more? I've heard that 3 speed tranny in the f350 isn't best suited for high powered systems. Correct me if I'm wrong sng.

True metalhead matt I'm sorry for taking this thread off point my bad my mistake and sorry to nigeleyre27 as well.

Sorry Matt your right, but i gotta say i too have thought about the same thing, there is this sweet 6.0 superduty (Fummins) with 12 valve on craigslist...I want it!!! Also easier to swap out a 12 valve then a 24 valve!

I really dont know much about them but I think I've heard that before too Matt. 2s might be all the more you would want to run so yeah the rooster would do good for that.

2s and a higher turn quality brushless motor would probably wake that thing right up. A motor/esc combo would best be recommended by somebody that knows a little more about your rig. You don't want to over-power it and start blowing driveline parts up. As to not confuse you nigeleyre, as slowngreen stated, the radio and receiver is the root cause of your problem. A quality 2.4ghz setup would really smooth things out and give you a completely reliable signal.

I had the same thing, best thing i ever did was take the body and wheels/tires off the kit, and slapped it onto an axial SCX-10 chassis. I HATED the high lift setup, especially the 3 sp manual tranny.
